I have 3 houses and 3 Traegers. I rarely use my old gas Weber any more. It's wonderful for salmon. Doesn't over cook. I think it works fine for steaks but if you want some really hot grill marks you'll still need to use a gas/charcoal grill.

Ordered Dec. 9th, and it showed up on Dec. 21st. I got it together in an hour and a half with minimal help from my wife, and my hand was hurting from arthritis. Had an operation on said hand, so really haven't smoked as much as I would have liked to........and winter. But I did smoke two pork butts @ 7lbs a piece, and a boneless leg of lamb. Both smokes turned out great. I did get it on sale, at $399, early December, so wait for the sale. Really easy to use. I did run out of pellets on the butt's though. My fault entirely. Ran out to do run a few errands, and just spaced it. Recovered though. I do wish it had Bluetooth tech, but what do you expect. Construction seems very solid. Holds temp well.
