I really like the protective pad that helps avoid damage to my car’s roof. The extra Velcro is a great touch. It keeps the extra strap length wrapped up so nothing flaps around in the wind or scratches the car. I was able to fit two small carry-on suitcases and two duffle bags inside, with plenty of room left for more if needed. Our car has roof racks, and it was very simple to hook the carrier on. The package also came with straps and connectors for cars without racks, which is a nice option. I also appreciate the storage bag it comes wit. It makes storing the carrier easy when not in use. My neighbor has a hardtop carrier and had to create a whole storage system in his garage, while this folds away neatly. As a test, I poured water on top to see if it would leak into my luggage. The water rolled right off and everything stayed dry. Overall, I’m very happy with this carrier and I’m looking forward to using it on my next road trip.

I’ve tried a few rooftop bags before, and this one is definitely a standout. The capacity is excellent—it held several suitcases, bedding, and extra gear without any issue. The construction is solid: thick fabric, strong stitching, and sturdy zippers that feel like they’ll last. The protective flap over the zipper is a smart touch—it kept everything dry even through some rain. Installation was simple. The instructions were clearly written and easy to follow, and all the needed accessories were included. I especially liked the extra straps and the non-slip mat that kept it secure during our drive without scratching the roof. Even without a roof rack, it fit our sedan perfectly using the included hooks and tie-downs. It seems like it would work with just about any vehicle. Would not recommend for Honda Pilot Touring 2022 with CrossBars and sun roof. We got this for our Honda Pilot specifically because ours was outfitted with crossbars and this appeared that it could be easily installed with crossbars strapping at the front and back crossbars on the top of the car without a rigid basket. With a great deal of effort we were able to get it installed but not as the instructions say. It did stay in place and protected our items, however, you actually lose storage space because it overlaps the cross bars. Gas mileage went down which we expected. Durability was good for the duration of the trip. This is a quality item that we would likely use with a different car set up. Just not a right fit for the Honda Pilot Touring 2022 with cross bar installation. The seller has been extremely responsive.

I got the VENTURE 4TH Rooftop Cargo Carrier for a road trip with my husband and baby, and it was a total lifesaver. As any parent knows, babies come with a lot of stuff...extra blankets, a travel crib mattress, diapers, formula, even our small cooler and duffel bags, and this carrier held it all with no problem. We don’t have a roof rack, but the straps worked great and kept it secure the whole way. We hit rain, and I was honestly so relieved that everything stayed completely dry. The material feels extremely durable, and the weatherproof zipper flap does its job effectively. It definitely freed up space inside the car, which made a huge difference for our sanity. Folding it back into the storage bag takes a minute, but that’s expected with something this size. For any mom doing a family trip, this is absolutely worth it. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat!

This Rooftop Cargo Carrier is stunning. First, it's huge. I could easily fit inside with room to spare (don't ever do that). It's lined with a thick waterproof barrier, including the zipper, along with a strong velcro closure to further protect against any potential leaks. It comes with everything you need to mount it to your car securely. It even has a storage case that, through some miraculous form of origami, fits the entire roof rack. The company fully supports their product and reached out to me with information and support before the Carrier even arrived. If you're in the market for a cargo carrier, you won't regret purchasing from Venture 4th.

The bag ripped right down the center the first time we used it. The family and I were driving to Oregon from Kentucky and the bag torn down the center about 3 hours into the trip. I do not recommend this product.

Easy to put on top of my 2022 Toyota 4Runner with crossbars for attachment. We only used the straps that came with the carrier and they worked beautifully! Filled with 2 giant duffles and they never moved! 100% waterproof- we drove from Wyoming all over the US back to the East coast and it rained heavily on our trip but not one drop of water was inside the bag when we unloaded once home. Impressive! Keep the flaps closed with the Velcro and you have a nice seal! Not one rip, no leaks, fit perfectly on my truck.
