I’ve tried a few rooftop bags before, and this one is definitely a standout. The capacity is excellent—it held several suitcases, bedding, and extra gear without any issue. The construction is solid: thick fabric, strong stitching, and sturdy zippers that feel like they’ll last. The protective flap over the zipper is a smart touch—it kept everything dry even through some rain. Installation was simple. The instructions were clearly written and easy to follow, and all the needed accessories were included. This bag has a lot of space and handled all my luggage with ease . The zipper is great, smooth and easy to open and close. The handles are well positioned. The material is strong and very protective. The straps in particular are well positioned and provide a lot of flexibility for attaching it to the car and for cinching the bag tight so it isn’t flopping in the wind. I’m very happy with this product and anticipate many years of use

Used this carrier on a 1494 mile trip while moving from Wisconsin to Florida. Overall it is not bad and it made the trip during the spring without ripping or comong detached. Our stuff that was in the carrier made it to to our destination. It didn't fall off or rip and the zipper did not break. It does fall a bit short in a few ways and the first is that the straps that come with it have plastic snaps and it seems irresponsible to make any significant trip with only these straps. It could be catastrophic if theis were to let loose and fly off in traffic while cruising down the road. I used some long straps that I wrapped all the way around the carrier and the rails on our SUV as a safety strap and they never loosened. During the trip it rained, hard, for hours. When we arrived there was water inside, though admittedly not much. A few puddles and drops which didn't hurt anything as we bagged everything that we hauled in the carrier in plastic bags. We did pack the carrier with cloths and blankets so it was filled and yet squishy so probably best case for filling. During a few stops I checked the carrier and found that the rubbery pad that goes underneith was moving back because I believe the carrier was lifting in the front when we were travelling 80 MPH, causing a gap and a the wind could shove the pad around. It didn't hurt anything and the top of the car wasn't damaged. It did make a little noise from the wind but not too bad. If traveling through a super windy area I would think the sound would be worse and it would probably push the vehicle around, though I found that was minimal. Overall it did work for a budget price but without a few mods I don't think it would make it. I will definately use it again if needed but will definitely use bags and extra straps.

I really like the protective pad that helps avoid damage to my car’s roof. The extra Velcro is a great touch. It keeps the extra strap length wrapped up so nothing flaps around in the wind or scratches the car. I was able to fit two small carry-on suitcases and two duffle bags inside, with plenty of room left for more if needed. Our car has roof racks, and it was very simple to hook the carrier on. The package also came with straps and connectors for cars without racks, which is a nice option. I also appreciate the storage bag it comes wit. It makes storing the carrier easy when not in use. My neighbor has a hardtop carrier and had to create a whole storage system in his garage, while this folds away neatly. As a test, I poured water on top to see if it would leak into my luggage. The water rolled right off and everything stayed dry. Overall, I’m very happy with this carrier and I’m looking forward to using it on my next road trip.

Awesome buy! We ordered it while at our family's house for Christmas. We knew we didn't have the trunk space for gifts and it was already cramped going up. This arrived super quick and is HUGE! It fit on our mid-size SUV no problem. We ordered it bc most similar products looked particular on which way the rails of the car went. This can go horizontal, vertical, or can even attach to the car door/windows! It came with LOTS of extra straps, so we had that suckered extra secured for our 12 hour drive on the highway. Went across 5 states, in rain, LOTS of wind and it held up great. Didn't seem to sway the car that much with bulk on top. My husband is so happy we can delay getting a minivan now for longer travel as space was increasingly becoming an issue with our growing kids. Win win all around if you ask me! Also lots of YouTube videos explaining how to set it up that were helpful.
