I really like the protective pad that helps avoid damage to my car’s roof. The extra Velcro is a great touch. It keeps the extra strap length wrapped up so nothing flaps around in the wind or scratches the car. I was able to fit two small carry-on suitcases and two duffle bags inside, with plenty of room left for more if needed. Our car has roof racks, and it was very simple to hook the carrier on. The package also came with straps and connectors for cars without racks, which is a nice option. I also appreciate the storage bag it comes wit. It makes storing the carrier easy when not in use. My neighbor has a hardtop carrier and had to create a whole storage system in his garage, while this folds away neatly. As a test, I poured water on top to see if it would leak into my luggage. The water rolled right off and everything stayed dry. Overall, I’m very happy with this carrier and I’m looking forward to using it on my next road trip.

This rooftop cargo bag was a lifesaver for our family road trip! We needed extra storage for our SUV, and this waterproof cargo carrier was perfect. The 21 cubic feet capacity gave us plenty of space for suitcases, camping gear, and even some bulky items. It fit securely on our car roof rack, and even at high speeds, it stayed in place without shifting or flapping. We also hit some bad weather, including heavy rain, and I was impressed—everything inside stayed completely dry thanks to the waterproof and weather-resistant material. This Rooftop Cargo Carrier is stunning. First, it's huge. I could easily fit inside with room to spare (don't ever do that). It's lined with a thick waterproof barrier, including the zipper, along with a strong velcro closure to further protect against any potential leaks. It comes with everything you need to mount it to your car securely. It even has a storage case that, through some miraculous form of origami, fits the entire roof rack. The company fully supports their product and reached out to me with information and support before the Carrier even arrived. If you're in the market for a cargo carrier, you won't regret purchasing from Venture 4th.

Would not recommend for Honda Pilot Touring 2022 with CrossBars and sun roof. We got this for our Honda Pilot specifically because ours was outfitted with crossbars and this appeared that it could be easily installed with crossbars strapping at the front and back crossbars on the top of the car without a rigid basket. With a great deal of effort we were able to get it installed but not as the instructions say. It did stay in place and protected our items, however, you actually lose storage space because it overlaps the cross bars. Gas mileage went down which we expected. Durability was good for the duration of the trip. This is a quality item that we would likely use with a different car set up. Just not a right fit for the Honda Pilot Touring 2022 with cross bar installation. The seller has been extremely responsive.

I got the VENTURE 4TH Rooftop Cargo Carrier for a road trip with my husband and baby, and it was a total lifesaver. As any parent knows, babies come with a lot of stuff...extra blankets, a travel crib mattress, diapers, formula, even our small cooler and duffel bags, and this carrier held it all with no problem. We don’t have a roof rack, but the straps worked great and kept it secure the whole way. We hit rain, and I was honestly so relieved that everything stayed completely dry. The material feels extremely durable, and the weatherproof zipper flap does its job effectively. It definitely freed up space inside the car, which made a huge difference for our sanity. Folding it back into the storage bag takes a minute, but that’s expected with something this size. For any mom doing a family trip, this is absolutely worth it. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat!

Just tested this out for our first trip, >1,000 miles total. The initial setup takes a few minutes to get, but after doing it once it’s fairly easy. I would say that loading, strapping/securing can be done in about 30 minutes once you’re experienced. The bag definitely didn’t leak, even during several downpours. Was not noisy overall - I found that a flapping sound on the highway was easily remedied by simply folding some of the forward edge of the foam roof protector mat under the luggage bag. One hiccup I ran into: upon arrival on vacation, our parking garage clearance was tight - had to unload and remove the luggage bag on the spot! This was about a 10 minute process, but not overly difficult. I would recommend that shorter users (relative to your vehicle height) consider bringing a folding stepstool or step ladder to be able to easily access the roof when loading and unloading. Overall, a great roof bag. Seems durable, straightforward to install and load.

Works great! The soft bag stores great when you’re not using it. Straps easy and much easier to put on and strap down compared to others I’ve used. Also doesn’t make noise in the wind with the slack strap wraps that it comes with. Drove through a rain storm with it and it kept everything dry! Highly recommend over hard storage.
