I was concerned about the way the box secures to the after market roof rack of my Volkswagen Jetta. My son and I climbed a step ladder and tightened, checked, and rechecked the locking knobs. My worry was for nothing; we took a 700+ round-trip road trip and it stayed perfectly put. We encountered rain and snow, and the contents remained dry. We like the dual side opening feature, too. I do agree that it would be easy to cut through the light material, but we planned for that by always parking in a spot we could see from inside our pit stops, and removed valuable items while it was parked in hotel parking lots and friends driveways. Kept the box in case we needed to return it, and that box went out with our recycle last week. Thanks for making an alternative to the costlier brands!

I purchased this product because its color matched my Highlander's paint color and with its many good reviews. Unfortunately, I think this cargo box is designed for compact SUV or cars that the two crossbars have to be closer together than my un-adjustable factory crossbar from Toyota. The spacing on the cargo box attachment is just 1" too short that the clamp won't reach both crossbars so I have to return it. I originally got a return authorization from Amazon without postage. I went to UPS and the cost to return this giant box (only 20 miles) is almost as high as the product itself. I contact the seller explaining this situation and they quickly send me a prepaid FedEx label without asking any question! The box itself feel and look sturdy. The clamp is stronger than those from Thule. Honestly I would keep it if I have other car that fit. I will not hesitate to buy from this seller and this brand again... but I will for sure check the specification closer.

I drove from Illinois to Seattle and back with this on my Dodge Grand Caravan Crew (5,000+ miles). This 14 cu ft GoPlus unit worked well. we stored two carry-on suitcases in it along with a lot of light weight miscellaneous items. NOTE: You must pay attention to weight limits. You can not put more than ~100lbs up here. If you ever have an situation where you would have to make an insurance claim, insurance will not cover this if it is overloaded (reason, you're top heavy etc....). We went through rain & heat with this and had no problem. Nothing got wet or damaged. GAS Mileage: This GoPlus did not seem to affect my gas mileage. There were two days where we drove ~80mph for 10hrs straight each day. The gas mileage on my Dodge Grand Caravan Crew was ~23mpg. CAUTION on packing: You must make sure the carrier is secured or it will move on you. The clamps used to secure the GoPlus to the factory cargo racks on this Dodge Caravan have locking clips. These locking clips must be locked and you have to verify you do not store anything on top of them that will unlock them. If this happens, the GoPlus will move on you. Also because of the size of the locking clamps you have to be creative in loading. A standard carry-on will fit between the clamps (lfet-right). A bigger suitcase has to fit sideways in the middle of the clamps (front to back). Before a long trip, make sure you install this and drive around for a few days to make sure it's installed correctly. Would I buy this again, you betcha!!

I finally invested in a hard shell cargo carrier, and this has been fantastic. I have a Subaru Ascent, and it is very easy to access the cargo carrier from either side, sleek, and light weight. It is so easy to put on and remove by myself as a 40yo woman. I'm very pleased with this product so far. I've used it for 3 multi hour trips plus left it on my car in between trips for about a week just because I would be using it again quickly.

NOTE - No size options offered in their listing, therefore you will need to deal with what you get, while leading brands offer different sizes (14CF, 16CF, 18CF, 20CF, 22CF or L, XL etc) to chose from to fit your vehicle.
