  • Feature: The heavy-duty folding hitch enhances the carrier's rigidity and strength. Tie-down straps can be secured to various tie-down holes located on the sides of the ramp. It offers three positions: closed flat, open L-shape, and open flat. The ramp features a handle for effortless folding and unfolding
  • Please note: Mobility devices should not be occupied during loading or unloading, and the rated capacities of your hitch must not be exceeded. A hitch tightener is recommended to minimize wobbling, although an anti-wobble plate is not included

  • very happy
I have not put it together yet but in box it is very heavy. My son is guessing 60 lbs. I would say 60-100. I found another like it same price but receiver part was steel but rest was aluminum. This 1 is all steel. In reviews 1 guy said he had to weld a peace to make it work on his Trk. Well U can't weld Aluminum to steel so I got this 1. Also if it should crack or need repair U can weld. I got it to take snow blower over to my sons when needed and hall my red trailer on with grass for garden. This will be much easier than the bigger trailer. OK I put it together and on the trk. It is very well built but instructions need some help. It tells what bolts go where and the pins. I took it apart 2 times and put it together 3 times. 1rst I put the Tung on wrong. U want the ramp to drop on passenger side so pay attention to hinges. Only 1 of 2 ways to do it I did it wrong. Than there is 2 bolts. 1 long and 1 short. Long 1 goes through tung and piece that goes into trk hitch. Short 1 goes into threaded hole under it to level. On tung there is a small piece of steel welded on bottom of tung for added strenght. It was used but not needed. There is a pin with S pin for it. So with long bolt and pin there is no leveling. Maybe to lock it? Well I did that wrong also. 3rd times a charm. The piece to pin the ramp up and down I had to put about 6 washers to move it out cause ramp was 2 close to frame. I got the ramp at a 90 degree pin to line up but 1 that pins it down to platform I need to drill out bigger for adjustment for lower pin to lock ramp in a not in use mode. Also none of it is not standard. Most metric and some don't know. Ended up using 2 crescent wrenches. It is heavy. I took out of box in house read instructions and took out in pieces in morning. It took me all day to assemble and on trk so still need to drill hole out. Now I could put together in couple hrs. I would buy it again but see no need to. It will do what I want to. I also went back to amazon's add and took some picks with phone so I could enlarge and see better. There is a small bag with blk nuts and washers. Put in pocket. I didn't see and wind blew away along with instructions. Found latter when done. Also peace that goes into trk hitch has a added piece welded on for wear. The tung should set down from top. LOL I hope this will help U do it in 2 hrs and not all day. Also the reflectors are very small. I got 2" X 50' here on amazon will put bigger and more than what they sent. Only thing is that my trk sets high but I can pull up on street and drop past the curb gaining 4-6" on ground height. Good luck. ... show more

  • Works good - good price
Works good. It's heavy so I need help installing it to the car. But it seems to work well. Do buy the U-bolt hitch tightener to keep it from rattling in the hitch receiver. And a scooter cover for traveling in slush, snow, and rain. Easy to assemble.

  • Not a bad deal. Worth the money.
All in all, I would say this is a good value for what you pay. There are definitely better carriers but they also cost a bit more. I just put it together so I haven't actually hauled anything yet. It does seem like it is somewhat sturdy. I wouldn't put 500lbs on it. The assembly wasn't horrible but I will say that the instructions are just about worthless. They do tell you what should come with it and where everything goes but it is not very detailed or that easy to follow along. There was one nut that was missing. It goes to the pin that holds the ramp flat horizontally. Not too critical, I'll just go to the hardware store and purchase one. I attached a metal wire to it until I do so just in case it comes loose. Another reviewer said that the ramp needs to open on the passenger side but I'm pretty sure you could do it either way. I did, however, put it on the passenger side anyway. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together with just myself working on it. It wasn't too terribly heavy or difficult to get it into the tow receiver. It does not, however come with a pin to secure it to the receiver. Again, not a big deal. One thing to mention is that the corners on the ramp side were bent. I was able to bend them back into place pretty easily and it functions just fine. It does have a bolt at the bottom that works as a leveler so you can adjust the height somewhat. I was between 3 and 4 stars for this item because of the small issues but overall, for the cost I think 4 stars is good. ... show more

  • Good value for the most part
It’s made well enough has a good paint and finish. The locking pins that hold the ramp upright are flimsy and the locking pin that holds it closed doesn’t line up with the frame hole had to modify it. The ramp has no side plates making it very hazardous loading a joystick style of power chair. I intend to correct that. ... show more

  • Could be better, but working so far
I read review after review, checked out the pictures, etc. I decided on this one because the biggest complaint was the assembly instructions (yes, some other issues too, but not as bad as other carriers), and figure I have friends who can help if needed on that. It is heavy, which is good in my opinion. The instructions received had multiple double-sided pages with the list of components, and the order of assembly. It still was confusing as it had no real written directions (such as - how tight do you bolt the platform to the hitch bar? There is a gap - should there be?). Otherwise, I assembled it myself (I'm not super with this type of thing) with only direction reading by my 84 year old mom. So yes - better instructions would be very helpful. All of my bolts / holes lined up except the spring-lock to retain the ramp into the platform when not in use - it never lined up, but I am using straps to keep it in place. It rotates easily, and while my truck sits higher than a car hitch, we were able to load / unload the scooter with a little pushing and lifting (grade was a bit steep for easy loading). I plan to add a rubber mat on the platform to protect the scooter during transit, and also a strap as a secondary safety measure to keep the platform in an upright position when transporting the scooter. I had a vision of it popping loose & flopping over on the highway...not that it has at all. In the upright position, it doesn't come even close to the back of my truck, and when it is down, I still can open / have access to the back of my truck. There is one other thing to be aware of - when not "in use" and mounted upright, it does rock a bit back/forth which I have found messes with the retaining pin. When I assembled it, it worked well, but after a few trips, I now have to push up one corner of the platform slightly to get the pin back out. That all said - it doesn't vibrate or rattle, even when not in use (upright). I haven't noticed any bending of the metal, and the scooter rides really smoothly so far. Will update if anything changes. ... show more

  • Watch bottom clearance if you have low clearance vehicle !!
EASY fitted. Easy to use, both putting down & putting up. The ramp is easy to put down & up. My only problem is exiting & entering driveway ... big dip ! & it drags on the tarmac. I have to place boards in the gutter to get clearance ... That is not the carriers fault at all, So I ground a half inch off the bottom of the rail, well maybe only quarter inch ! I like it a lot. ... show more

  • Perfect for Mobility Scooter!
We put this on our old retro camper van and it's perfect for my mobility scooter!! We took it out on its first outing and it works great!! Yay, we no longer have to park near the restrooms in campgrounds!! My husband and son assembled it and they say it was extremely easy to assemble. Love it!!
