Purchased this last minute in a decision to ditch a pull behind trailer and do roof storage. We drove 3600 miles total for our cross country trip. Best decision ever. This was easy to install. Easy to load. It stood up against strong sun exposure of the west and strong wind gusts, 65-75mph speed while in bad storms. I am impressed with how it held up. I added a no slip matt under it on the roof. I think it helped a lot. The straps stayed strong the entire trip. Minimal adjustments only. One of the storms driving through South Dakota had us pretty scared but it stayed on didn’t budge. Lots of dead bugs landed on it but the rain washed most off. Worth the cost. Every penny. Nothing leaked at all. Dry inside. The lock is also a nice feature. In the future I will still spray some campmore on it just incase as it ages. The square footage is way better than any hard top cargo storage. We packed it full! Only sound it made was the strap humming in high winds but that was it. My SUV averaged 15.9 mpg most of the trip with it. Not too bad on mileage. Advice. Do not drive a trailer cross country if you can help it. Most National parks don’t allow trailers in a lot of places. Plus it’s sucks to get around. Get roof top cargo! Roofpax is where it’s at. ... show more

We put it to use right away and it was exactly what I was looking for. It is well constructed, easy to put on, and worked great for our 2019 Subaru Ascent. I fit 5 fold out camp chairs, two tents, a large duffle bag, a pack & play, two backpacks, an air mattress, and a few pillows. Saved us a ton of room in our car. We had heavy rain the first night and everything stayed dry. It folds back up into the bag no problem and will be much easier to store than a hard top would be. Great price and quality. ... show more

I bought this because I’m going to be some extensive traveling in North America over the next 2 years; but the first thing I had to do was make an 1100 plus mile trip down to Central Florida to pick up a new small camper I’ll be towing with my CUV. I drive decent into the path of a major tropical depression that lasted several states… and to my surprise there was MINIMAL water just inside the very front of the cargo bag. No cargo bag can ever be 100 % watertight like a hard shell… and I did PLAN for this bag to not live up to its description by putting anything I was worried about inside lawn n leaf bags just in case. Also, I did not have this completely full, which basically allowed for golds in the side walls, which caught the heavy rain. The good news: Only I opened it to sun n air, it dries rapidly. None of my belongings had any damage whatsoever. But more than that: I’d you use this with your cars’ side rails( NOT talking cross rails, which would elevate that bag) you CANNOT hear this thing. It comes with cleverly placed Velcro flaps that you fold up the excess straps into and secure tightly, so NO straps flapping in the wind either. If you follow directions and put this on correctly, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! The base of the bag did not move around, did not scratch my roof, and it really holds a lot. Also, they suggest you can add additional waterproofing spray/products, and I may do that in time. Also like that it comes with a little combination lock to lock the zippers and a carrying/storage bag. We purchased one of these for a long road trip. It rained almost the whole time. It did leak to the inside. we were really upset. I contacted the company and they were AMAZING! They responded instantly, professionally and compassionately. They offered to send a new one to us right away. I can’t begin to tell you how great the communication was and how they solved our problem so quickly and effortlessly. They thought we just got a defective item as these are built to be waterproof. I’m very impressed that they sent us a new one immediately as we need to take road trip back and need to know our stuff will be dry if it rains. Otherwise, the carrier is awesome.
