We have been using this frequently since we received it. The #1 downside to composting is the smell, but with this kitchen composter there is zero smell until the lid comes off. Obviously when the bin is just starting out it’s not bad, but when it’s getting full and the rotting veggies/fruits start doing their thing, the filter on this can is able to block out 100% of the horrifying smells. It’s also small enough to fit on a countertop with other items or under a sink. The handle also makes it super easy to carry out to your main composter to dump.

I have used one of these from this company for about five years for kitchen food scraps. This is my second one I like this one better than the first because of the way the filter sets in the lid it stays better and the bin seems to be much sturdier. What I like about it is the size and the color. It is much larger than the first one I bought and I will be using it for coffee grounds. The color is a nice brown so I won’t confuse the two. Can’t say there’s anything that I don’t like about it really.

This is a sturdy, elegant looking "bucket" that doesn't look out of place on our kitchen counter. It has a vented top but the sponge-like filter in the top makes it odorless so long as you keep the lid closed. By rinsing and wiping it keeps its new appearance. It takes us 2-3 days for us to fill it, but it really needs to be emptied daily - fruit fly life spans are so short that it only takes a couple days for them to mature into adults inside the bin. Recommended.

This is a really nice kitchen compost container. The charcoal filter prevents smells. The air vents prevent mold. And no insects have found their way in. Nice fitted lid. Once it is full, you do need a larger outdoor bin to transfer to. But the amount of stuff I was throwing out can now be put back into the soul.

I have been looking for something to collect food scraps for a few weeks and this is perfect. We bring scraps to our chickens every other day so I didn’t need something to hold food long but I was sick of an open bowl on the counter. I love the charcoal filter that masks any smells and it looks beautiful on the counter. I gave it 4 stars bc it did come with a small dent in the top lid of the container, but other than that I love it!

Not much to say about a compost pail, but it works exactly as intended. I like that I can just grab the handle and bring the entire thing outside to dump into the compost. No more falling apart, no more bags ripping, etc. It's a good compost bucket.

The item is great size for the countertop. I choose to use the compost liner for a cleaner disposal. The lid has small holes and my pinky finger got caught in it and when quickly removing it, the edges of the circle were sharp enough to create a deep cut. Just be careful with the product, other than that, it does as it says. When the lid is closed, no smell.
