I have cleaned out all my old pans in favor of 100% stainless steel and a couple cast iron pieces. Anyone who's vested in healthy cooking or takes the time to do a quick google search knows that Stainless Steel gets top marks for safety. Stainless is also a dream to cook in. For skillets, lets face it - who doesn't love a non-stick surface. The great news? Stainless can do the same exact thing with a little bit of prep. Simply put the pan on the burner completely dry for several minutes until well heated. Test the pan by adding a few drops of water. If the water beads up (sort of dances in the pan) and quickly evaporates - the pan is ready. Add whatever oil and adjust heat before adding food. Be careful if using butter alone in a hot pan - it can burn quickly and/or splash. If I'm using butter I bring the burner temp down a bit and pull the pan off the heat to add the butter. Once melted and foamy - I put the pan back on the heat and resume cooking. Not even scrambled eggs stick using this method! This is a comprehensive set of cookware. The sizes are intuitive and flexible. From the smallest pot to the steamer pan insert, everything is handy and functional. The weight of these pans is exceptional. For the price - these pans are a bargain compared to much higher priced, brand name sets. Stainless steel is healthy, easy to use and easy to clean and this set checks all the boxes including the fact that it's beautiful.

The first thing you should know about this Stainless Steel Cookware Set is that you are going to need an hour or two to unpack this unbelievably high quality, heavy-duty set. Each piece is wrapped carefully in non-static non-woven fabric. Every piece is very heavy and impressive. Instead of adding to your original pots and pans with this set, you might have no alternative except to replace most of your old pans unless you have a large amount of storage space in your kitchen. If you are used to cooking on non-stick surfaces, the stainless steel will take some getting used to. There are techniques to make the pans more non-stick, but I am still learning. I have read that the most important thing is to pre-heat the pan before adding oil. Luckily, I have found that the pans are a bit easier to clean if they are soaked in hot water. Overall, the new stainless pans have been a bit challenging. I know the stainless is good top quality. But sometimes I miss my cheap, old, easy-to-use pots and pans.

This Umite Chef Stainless Steel Cookware Set is really all the cookware a home chef needs. It’s made from 5 Ply Stainless Steel and each piece feels very sturdy and well made. The set, which arrived carefully wrapped, includes a total of 14 pieces, all of which are PFOA, PTFE & PFOS Free. The pans are induction capable which is a big plus for induction stovetop users. Each piece is also oven safe making this a versatile stove-top and oven ready set of cookware. The smooth cookware pieces appear precisely machined given how well the lids fit. I can readily see why this set is listed as a chef quality professional cooking appliance. This cookware works so well for all of my cooking needs, whether boiling, baking, sautéing, steaming, or frying. Each piece also heats evenly. I particularly like that the 2 large pots have measurement markings in liters and quarts, making it simple to follow recipes accurately. I really love the inclusion of a steamer insert in this set, which is so handy for steaming vegetables and other healthy cooking. The smooth finish pieces also clean easily. The current price for this outstanding set of stainless steel cookware is very reasonable considering its great quality and the many cooking options these pots and pans provide. I'm very impressed by this Umite Chef Stainless Steel Cookware Set and would definitely order it again.

The Umite cookware set was packaged nicely, so no chance of dents or scratches. The pots and pans are nice. They seem to be durable so they will last a long time. The construction is high quality - no loose handles on the pots, pans or lids. All lids fit perfectly. I especially love the measurement marks on the inside of the pots - this is very handy, whether you're filling a pot for pasta or reducing down a sauce. The large skillet is the workhorse in my kitchen and I love that this heats evenly and quickly. Many people want non-stick cookware. Stainless cookware is not that. But you can improve your technique (preheat, use oil or butter) to mitigate this. And the upsides are plenty: *won't chip, scratch, rust *lasts forever *cook with high heat - even in the oven *low maintenance, and you can use metal utensils without worrying about scratches *most (including this set) have aluminum core for even heating *doesn't react to acidic foods, great for all kinds of sauces *none of the concerns with non-stick surfaces Haven't switched to Stainless Steel? Buy a large skillet and learn. Then give that away and purchase this set, which has all you need.
