I liked that this was inexpensive. I rent my home and as part of the rental I have a weekly pool service. I bought this for those days when I have family over and want to to a quick vacuum before they came over. The pole is not very sturdy and not suitable for everyday use. I only use it about once a month or so, so it should last in my case. If you own your home and are your own 'pool guy', spend some more money and get something that's more sturdy. You get what you pay for.

I hate to write a negative review. But I would not recommend this pool pole. If it were the only item of its kind on the market, I'd say go ahead. But relative to comparable products, it just does not serve it's given purpose very well. And it really boils down to one thing... sturdiness or strength. It is remarkably flimsy. Using it with a vacuum head, a brush, or a net is very difficult because it bends. And if you envision putting a life saver on it to pull someone from the water, don't bet your life or anyone else's on it. Not only is the pole itself flimsy, but the two extension joints are less than reliable. They slip and it comes apart. To be fair, it is much more usable if not extended. Fully collapsed to it's base length, it is sturdy enough. But of course you don't get much reach.

This product is as described in color and length. It capable but not durable. The plastic lock nuts that are supposed to keep the pole locked in extension do not keep the pole from sliding when you want to keep it extended. This becomes really irritating if you have a deep pool and are scrubbing the walls.
