This was my first year opening my pool. I used a closing kit before closing but a cover with holes in it and the pool was almost black when I took off the cover. I followed instructions on the kit and this morning came out to blue foggy water, so it's definitely made alot of progress!! I've checked throughout the day and it's clearing up I have the pool pump running continuously and add chlorine this am after the kit yesterday. Pretty impressed. ... show more

I wish the instructions were more clear on how to use. I thought it would be good for someone who didn't ever have a pool before but I didn't know exactly how to use it in our 1000 gallon pool. Based on what I read it wouldn't be good to use the whole packet but I believe it would have been ok and actually allowed us to get our levels to where they should have been.
