Update: 7-2-14 Hey all, I finally figured out how to add pictures of my invention to Amazon so everybody can see for them selves. I do hope this helps you with your cleaner and gives you many clean pool days. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Now on to your regularly scheduled review : ) I know that sometimes you can't expect to much for $ 20 bucks but I thought I would give some tips and understanding on this kit anyway. First the pole. It is telescopic and made for a smaller pool but seems to be very well made and does not bend when using. Next was the net. At first I thought that is was not to my liking as it is a flat net with no give in the middle to catch things. But after using it a couple of times I decided that this was even better. It does a great job of catching the bugs and dog hair. And when you empty it you don't have to fiddle with the blinging net to get the stuff out. Just turn it over and bounce the pole over your hand and the stuff just falls off. Now on to the vacuum head assembly. The head itself is very well made and will last for years if treated right. It has a nozzle that points 90 degrees towards the net that blasts water through the net and creates a very noticeable vacuum from the bottom picking up most anything in it's way. it also has a small brush and two wheels to help with the cleaning. And if I was living somewhere where the only thing I needed to vacuum was a few bugs and leafs then that would be it. But, even when I lived in WA I still got fine dust in my pool floor. And now I live in AZ where fine dust is a way of life, this net does not work at all. So being the creative guy I am I thought, well I will just build me a better catching bag. I had a few extra Micro fiber towels and decided to sew one up in the same configuration as the net and see what I got. Well after a good cleaning it seemed I had success. But alas it was not to be. after about an hour I looked to see, and all that fine dust was on the bottom of the pool again. Back to the drawing board. So after a couple of other design flaws I came up with the perfect match. As a old Fish tank guy I remembered using fine flax for the tank filters and thought hey, this might work. So I found one of my old pillows and cut some of the fill out and put it in my new micro fiber towel net and used an old tube 2" long the same size as the output of the vacuum head and stuffed it in the forward center of the bag so the water would have to travel up the bag before getting into the filter media and vacuumed away. After 2 hours my pool was still perfect with no dust left over. I then put a little clip on the pole to hold the bag still. It's kinda funny, it looks like a old Kirby vacuum bag when it's doing its job. So now I have a great pool vacuum and enough filter media to last me through the summer. And if I need more I just go and buy a cheap $ 6 buck pillow and I'm good for another year. Life is great : ) ... show more

I bought this set for a small funsicle 10’ round, 30” deep pool I wanted to try for the first time this year and had no idea what I needed to get to take care of it. I didn’t want a regular or large pool, just something to enjoy and use to cool off in the evenings, so knew nothing about these pools or what is needed. After searching and reading reviews of so many (a bit overwhelming, actually!), I decided on this set, and it has been a great choice for this size pool. Easy to use, long enough handle to reach the entire pool, and a large fine net to allow me to catch anything I need to. The little vacuum is also easy to use and very effective for skimming the bottom of the pool when needed. I highly recommend this set. ... show more

The pile is sturdy and the attachment for the net is great , the only meh thing about it is the “vacuum “ Has to be attached to the water hose and all it’s doing is pushing the debris from the bottom to a little sack . But hey it works!

    • Overcoming the Weak Part of this product / the COLLECTING / FILTER BAG and the solution

Interesting and cheaply priced product that actually works for the most part. Any reading of the product reviews quickly exposes this products Achilles heel. That is, the collecting bag which comes with the unit. I didn't even try to use it. The mesh is too porous and as others have pointed out the bag will fail before too long. It would get the larger particles but that fine stuff would just pass right through it and redeposit it as fine silt on the pond bottom over and over again. I have been using another great filter product instead which can be bought on Amazon which makes this cheap little tool really quite wonderful and effective. This being the Aqueon 06166 ProFlex 200 Micron Filter Bag, 2-Pack. ($12.80 for Two) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036S2WVS/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie= . You will have to remove the sewn on plastic collar but after that you have a heavy duty and working unit which ties right on with zero problems.. This picked up (and retained) all those really fine particles that the other bag just passed through. The Aqueon's are heavy duty and are rinsable and even washable. I think they even make a 100 micron bag but 200 micron seems to do the job, just fine. A great little tool with this modification. ... show more

I live these tools! They work so well. My pool is under a peach tree and the skimmer removed every last leaf or peach several times a day all summer, still holding up! The vacuum is a simple concept that works well. I would order this again for sure! 2 tips: 1.) if you misplace the mesh bag, a piece of tied off panty hoes/tights actually work better to capture small particles. 2.) CANT REALLY USE THE VACUUM IF YOUR POOL IS TOO FULL OR IF YOUVE HAD LOTS OF RAIN, because it requires the water hose for suction and at some point it just overflows. That was a problem this summer when we got inundated with rain water but still needed to vacuum the pool. ... show more

This pool cleaning kit, is way better than the one we replaced. Very easy to assemble. Easy to use. The metal pole is durable and not flimsy. The net attachment fit snuggly, and didn't try to twist or fall off. The vacuum attachment got everything off the bottom like it is supposed too. The only thing I don't like, is if you kink the hose to stop the suction, all the dirt easily comes back out. But, that's just the flaw with this type of vacuum.
