They trap the smallest dirt and particles, keeping me from cleaning the main filter as often. Easily washable, but for the price, throwing it out and using a new one every week is not a big deal.     • Best In-expensive way to extend the life of your pool filter system
I used to use t-shirt material years ago to cover my skimmer basket, however they clogged too quickly and limited the amount of water through causing stress on the pump. These filter socks are made out of panty hose type material and do not clog up as fast as thick t-shirt material. Since I have started using these inserts, my filter life is at least 4X as long. I used to replace or clean out the filter weekly, however these filter socks can be changed out every few days extending the life of the main filter. These filter socks catch the majority of the pool debris before it gets to the main filter. A 50 pack usually lasts 3 to 4 months. Great value. ... show more

These socks keep your filter so much cleaner as they catch all the small items and during spring all the pollen.

    • Works but not big enough
These work and are the correct size around the top but not as deep as prior skimmer liners I've used. Keeping them but they don't hold as much debris which means I have to empty more often. Having them 2 or 3 inches longer would make for a 5 star review.
