  • Made of cedar! Plenty of room to grow, too.
Size: 40.8"L x 38.0"W x 20.5"H Style: Rabbit Hutch with Sloped Roof Color: Brown/White
We finally put together our bunny's new house last night. I love it. It's made of cedar (which is pretty obvious from the lovely smell it has) and that just made my day. I love the smell of cedar! Our bunny is only about 10 weeks old, so she's still got quite a bit of growing to do. This hutch feels too big at the moment, but I think it'll be just right once she's full grown. The bottom part of the hutch doesn't have a floor, so if you put it outside, you'll need to add a bottom or something so your bunny doesn't burrow out. Ours is currently in our living room and to protect our floors (in case the bunny goes potty downstairs), I put a waterproof pad (like for a crib mattress) down with a carpet remnant on top. The ramp does come down and at the bottom is only about 6 inches from the wall. Our bunny hasn't used it yet where I can see, but I did find some bits of bedding all over the bottom this morning, so I know she's gone exploring. While it's close to the wall, I don't think it'll be a problem. It's less steep than the ramp in her old wire cage and she loved going up it. She seems to really like the small, dark room created by the solid door on the right. We put her food bowl in there and she likes her privacy. Her water bottle is hanging on the upper, wire door and it works well, but we might switch it out for a bowl just to make things a bit easier on the door. The latch between the two upper doors locks both doors. It's a sliding bar, so you can only open one door at a time. It works, but I thought was a bit odd and will take a bit of getting used to. Though, we'll only really be using that latch when it's time to clean it. The latch does help the hinges hold up the heavy water bottle though, so that's good. The drawer in the middle, obviously, doesn't go all the way back. I'd say it's about 3/5 of the floor depth. The other 2/5 is taken up by the opening for the ramp down on one side. In the dark, little room on the right, there is a small plastic, non-removable tray. I think it's a bit dumb to not be able to take it out since cleaning it would be easier out of the hutch, but we'll see if it's even an issue. Our bunny liked to go potty in one spot in her old cage, and I'm hoping she'll pick part of the drawer for her spot in her new home so it's easiest to clean. I also thought I'd mention, she has plenty of room to stand up straight in here. Her old cage didn't really allow that. It was way to small. In this, though, even standing, she's got several inches before she could come close to touching the ceiling. Overall, this was a great buy for us. The finish isn't overly red/brown, it looks like the natural, inner color of cedar with a flat paint on the white parts. It allows the smell of the cedar through the paint (which I love), but I suspect that it can, and will get dirty easily. ... show more

  • Great Hutch, but mine came with MOLD on the wood...
Size: 40.8"L x 38.0"W x 20.5"H Style: Rabbit Hutch with Sloped Roof Color: Brown/White
I would have rated it a 5 star, however the two backside pieces had mold on them. It was going to be a PITA to send it back or get a replacement so we just wiped it down with bleach water in hopes that will work. Good thing we're not keeping it indoors. Other than that, its great for our rabbit and it was easy to put together. ... show more

  • Okay home for my bun, but cheap product.
Size: 40.8"L x 38.0"W x 20.5"H Style: Rabbit Hutch with Sloped Roof Color: Brown/White
Wood is cheap...the side of the ramp was cracked all the way through, and a piece of it actually came off when I got it. Pull-out tray at the top is NOT one piece...only half of the level is the tray, so it's not-so-easy cleaning if you have a messy pet. Wish there was a bottom tray, but luckily my bun potty trained pretty fast. Easy to put together, and a great home for my clean bunny. However, the wood is poorly stained, so I would recommend either planning on an indoor hutch, or re-staining it before you put it outside (my bunny is indoor anyway, so it wasn't a problem here). Overall an okay product...the description really up-sells it, when in reality the product is cheaply made. But my bunny likes it, and it works for him. ... show more

  • Awesome cage.
Size: 40.8"L x 38.0"W x 20.5"H Style: Rabbit Hutch with Sloped Roof Color: Brown/White
Good looking, and assembly is fairly easy. Instruction that comes with this is absolutely bad. I would use the instruction as a guide to help see how things fit, but it lacks detail and how to assemble. Product itself is good. I have it outdoors in the rain and sun for 2 month now and I do not see it losing color or structurally going bad. I use this to cage my quails and it works great. A little expensive to cage 5 quails, but it works. I might come back and update this on long term durability after this summer, fall, and winter. ... show more

  • ( I was very disappointed but I decided to finish assembling it to see ...
Size: 40.8"L x 38.0"W x 20.5"H Style: Rabbit Hutch with Sloped Roof Color: Brown/White
DO NOT BUY!! This rabbit hutch is way overpriced for the cheap materials it is made w. When I got this hutch I put it all together myself and was almost done when I noticed a main part of wood on one of the sides was already splitting badly:( I was very disappointed but I decided to finish assembling it to see if it would be affected by the damaged part and sure enough the roof was so heavy when you opened and closed it it would cause the split wood to split even more. So after 1.5 hours it took to put together I decided to take it all a part and have it returned. Not worth 130$ for something that probably wouldn't last a week. Also it is much smaller than expected and my rabbit hated the steep ramp. There isn't much room for them to move around on the top and the half try and other floor part did not fit properly the smaller part connected to the ramp kept falling in. I am extremely happy to be returning this cheaply made garbage!!! 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 ... show more

  • Takes a LOT of Work to be Functional
Size: 40.8"L x 38.0"W x 20.5"H Style: Rabbit Hutch with Sloped Roof Color: Brown/White
It's well-built and the ramp isn't too steep. That's about the only pros. *Only half of the top floor is a tray. The other half is solid, meaning it is gross and difficult to clean. *The door in the bottom tier is tiny and it's hard to catch the rabbit. *The latches suck. I had to replace them. *It only took my rabbit a few minutes to break through the "closed off" door and let himself into the top. I had to add a latch there too to keep the floors separated. *You never want a hutch to sit right on the grass. Rabbits will dig out. I had to install a wire floor on it. So basically it's functional with a LOT of modifications, but the top part still remains disgusting and a lot of trouble to clean. ... show more
