So far I've used this incubator to hatch bantam chickens and coturnix quail. 7/7 bantam chicks hatched without issue, no problems. 12/12 quail chicks hatched BUT I ended up doing an assisted hatch for 2 because the eggs rolled and got stuck on the lip. The angle they got stuck at prevented them from rotating, so they basically punched a big hole where they pipped and dried out the membrane (they're supposed to go horizontally while punching holes in the shell then push up hard to tear the membrane once they go all the way around). Next time I'll place something to keep the eggs in the center so the late hatchers don't get shoved into the lip again. It was easy to set up and easy to clean/sanitize, which are both major pluses for me. It is also very small, so you can put it a lot of places where larger incubators simply won't fit (the main reason I bought it). Some minor issues: Incubator runs slightly cooler than the temp is set at even with the styrofoam cover for insulation. Not a big deal but you will have to set it slightly higher to get your desired temperature. All my chicks hatched right on time, which meant the incubator held temp. well and wasn't too cool even though I didn't fiddle with it once I got it set. I do keep the room they're in around 75-80F, so you may have to bump it up more than a degree to get it where you need it. The turner worked great for the chicken eggs but for quail eggs it was fair. It limits how many you can put in and jostles them around pretty roughly. For the future I'll probably get a 3D printed quail turner off ebay or etsy to increase the number of eggs I can put in and make sure they don't get cracked on accident. Water feeder is a great idea that doesn't work well in execution. Just manually add a little water when needed via the tube; it only takes a minute. You should be checking your temp./humidity via a separate and accurate gauge in the incubator anyway to make sure there aren't any problems. I dry hatch so I didn't add any water until lockdown, and it was easy to add a bit of water to slowly bump the humidity up to where I needed it. Once the humidity was raised, it stayed up pretty well. Overall I'm pretty impressed. Can't speak to the durability or longevity of the unit, but short term it does what its supposed to: it hatches the eggs.

The setup was incredibly easy, and the temperature and humidity are spot on, ensuring optimal conditions for hatching. I've had a fantastic success rate with my eggs, and the built-in automatic turner is a game changer. It's quiet, efficient, and highly reliable. If you're wanting a small incubator for hatching a few eggs at a time, I highly recommend this incubator. It’s worth every penny!

The media could not be loaded. Ordered this incubator last minute to hatch eggs from a hen that I had lost by predator. I have used it twice so far. The first hatched 3 out of 8 and the second hatched 1 out of 12. I do not blame the incubator for the low hatch rates however. On the first hatch there were eggs that ended up not being fertile and on the second hatch they were almost 3 week old eggs before I was finally able to get them set. Only 3 of those 12 eggs ended up being viable. As far as incubator quality...it feels sturdy, and appears like it will hold up to use. It is extremely easy to set up, operate and clean afterwards, which makes it nice for in home use. It's small enough to easily set on a kitchen counter and not be in the way. Some things to consider before purchasing: The temperature stayed consistent although it ran slightly lower than the set temp. You may want to increase the set temp slightly to get your desired range. You'll want to add a hygrometer/thermometer inside the incubator to keep an eye on those numbers. I found the humidity to be the most challenging issue with this incubator. The water bottle while it does deliver water to the incubator, I found to be difficult to adjust and it kept the humidity higher than necessary (around 80%). In the future I would dry hatch instead or just manually add water as needed through the tube. I have had zero issues with the automatic turner with the chicken eggs. I saw several negative comments in the reviews about the turner but I never personally experienced any issues. As long as the lid was secured correctly the turner has worked. It's easy to do a test turn to make sure it's working if you're not sure. Overall I am pleased with this unit and will update once I have run a dry hatch through it. Would love for it to be able to hold more than 12 chicken eggs but so far it has done it's job with the eggs that were viable.

I bought this incubator last year and I did 3 rounds, lots of baby chicks hatching and now I’m a happy chicken momma, year two here we go! This incubator comes with a bottle to keep humidity, and it rotates the eggs every two hours. Towards the end of the incubation period, I would recommend to remove the tray so the babies don’t get their little legs stuck in it. Sturdy, cute, and holds 12 eggs, you can definitely use it to start your flock like I did! Picture of my first ever hatched chick 🐣

The media could not be loaded. First I have to say this is my first time hatching fertilized eggs and on day one 19-20 we had 3 pip. By 10:50 pm we had 1 baby hatched and 2 more getting ready to. This incubator is a good size, fits 12 eggs, easy to set up, it comes put together so its ready to use. It comes with a built in egg rotator that moves every 2 hours. I have the M12 pro the temperature gauge works well keeping a consistent temperature throughout the process. The only thing I had to buy that was extra was the hygrometer to measure the humidity. In my opinion it’s an absolute must to have especially if you’re new to incubating eggs. The water bottle and tube for the humidity works well but I found it added too much water prior to the lockdown stage, so instead I added water when I noticed the humidity getting low. Today day 20 we have 5 chicks so far that are healthy and chirping away. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an incubator that won’t break the bank and are wanting to hatch a dozen or less at a time.
