  • High speed worth the few extra dollars.
Size: 8 GB Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Time is money and I have saved enough time waiting for booting or copying files to pay for all 4 of these high speed USB flash drives. I use it to transfer large creative files to clients. I use a few that are dedicated strictly for computer repair - one for Windows, one for Mac and one for Windows anti-virus. Try quickly troubleshooting a computer without opening it up where not only the OS is broken, but so is the CD/DVD drive! Use it once to make a client happy and the flash drive pays for itself. The Transcend lifetime guarantee is just icing on a very yummy cake. I also have a JetFlash 300 which I have used for years. It's still going strong and working hard. Pay less for a no-name or less reliable flash drive, and you'll end up paying more by needing to replace it. Transcend flash drives are small, stylish, and reliable. ... show more

  • Fastest USB 2.0 drive I own 32GB 1-27-12
Size: 32 GB Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
It's hard to truly know what speed these drives will be until you test them out and the Transcend 600 32GB is the fastest one that I have found... Unless you have USB 3.0 ports you won't find a faster drive at the price... Transcend makes a 620 flash drive that is said to be faster but it is basically only sold by the company itself and the price is double that of the 600 (I paid around $35 for the 32GB 600) Write Speed 16 - 19 MB/sec Read Speed 30MB + The advertised write speed on the package is 15 MB/sec but it actually exceeds that and normally is transferring/writing at 17-18 MB/sec. I own a Kingston G2 32GB flash drive and it tops off at 15 MB/sec and it has stood the test of time (about 10 months of daily and multiple transfers from 700MB to 10GB) without failing. I have found that the rest of my flash drives, when first plugged in, come up with a promt that says there is something wrong with the drive and asks to scan the drive. The drives still work fine but it's obvious that they aren't doing so great. They are PNY, Verbatim and the other is a SanDisk. The reason I am saying all this is because I don't know how well the Transcend drive will hold up but if it does I won't buy a drive from anyone eles.. BTW... The only complaint people might have with Transcend's drives is that the cap isn't connected to the drive and honestly that's the dumbest thing to care about, if you are looking for performance this is it... I took the cap off and threw it in the trash the second I got it. The port side of usb drives are solid so unless you are worried about getting it wet(they make waterproof drives) or plan on repeatedly stepping on it the drive will be just fine. If you want something with a good cap get the Kingston I mentioned KINGSTON 32GB DATATRAVELER 101 G2 USB FLASH DRIVE it has a swivel top. ... show more

  • Excellent drive
Size: 8 GB Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Love this flash drive. The simple black and small look is cool and clean, and to make it better the blue ring light around the rim when plugged in makes it look professional in my eyes. The read and write speed is good enough for me. I'm not a anal and picky person on that, but it sure goes fast and works just great! Only one thing I found I didn't like, was right when I pulled it out of the plastic. The drive is actually really light plastic. I complain about that because it feels so light, it seems very easy to crack or break. As long as you are careful, you will be very satisfied. ... show more

  • Nice little drive for mailing HD videos
Size: 32 GB Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I bought 3 of these drives to mail HD videos (like those from Flip HD or Kodak PlaySport HD) to friends from a trip to Egypt. I wish I had bought more....they are the least expensive 32GB flash drive out there. These 32GB flash drives come in a commercial package with some utility software on them. They are preformmated for FAT32 and I found that I had to reformat them in NTSF in order to get them working to full capacity on my Windows 7 (32 bit) desktop. Others might have a different experience but (quick) reformatting is easy. The drives seemed fast to me but 32GB takes time to transfer over a USB port so don't expect instantaneous transfers. They are nice and small so they are easy to mail. Fast delivery from the vendor. ... show more

  • Great to run ubuntu off of!
Size: 32 GB Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This flash drive is great a nice size for a Ubuntu(linux) partition with 2 GB of swap. Linux preforms wonderfully and does not seem slow at all. I even run a VM off of Linux while the actual files of the VM(Virtual Machine) are on my hard disk drive. Im not sure how well it will work with other operating systems but i Imagine that as long as it is not windows it would work well. My only complaint is that i already lost the cap its small and hard to find unless you are good at keeping track of things like that. ... show more

  • Very fast, and amazing for the money
Size: 32 GB Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I was previously looking at a SanDisk "high speed" 8gb drive for the same ~$30 I spent on this. Reviews showed that it didn't get as-good speeds and since then, SanDisk has signed themselves on to some new DRM and officially made themselves a disrespectable company. Yuck! This has four times the space of the SanDisk, and for the same money. Speeds absolutely are wonderful; it stops being so "augh" to have to move big files by USB. Though I've lost the cap under my desk somewhere, it's held up being toted around in my bag. It runs hotter than any flash drive I've used before when doing lots of transferring. Despite what the picture would have you think, the purple part isn't the light. The light is under the plastic, kind of by the Transcend logo. I'd buy from Transcend again, and I probably will. This is realistically priced flash memory and it's fast and awesome. ... show more
