This cookware set is everything I hoped for. It's heavy duty, without being too heavy; it cooks evenly; it looks great; and it cleans up easily. I wanted to get away from the teflon coated aluminum set I had and get something without the dangers of aluminum and Teflon, but something that would still clean easily without being too expensive. This set from Tramontina fits the bill. It has no nonstick coating, but it seems just as effective as coated products in resisting sticking. If I do accidentally cook at too high heat or neglect to turn the food for too long, it comes right off. I'm very pleased and highly recommend this set. PS: I should offer full disclosure - As a vegetarian there are many dishes notorious for sticking, like chicken, that I have not prepared, so I can't speak to that use. I do, however, have an older Tramontina fry pan that has been used to cook meats and the whole range of goods and it has performed flawlessly, which is what led me to purchase this set when I began shopping. Also, even now I cook eggs for my dogs daily and have had no problems. The one day I got busy and let them cook too long only required a brief soaking and cleaning with a steel wool pad.     • Great Bang for your Buck!
I read so many reviews on so many different brands of stainless steel cookware until I decided on this set. There are a good amount of mixed reviews for this brand of cookware but my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I didn't have a lot of money to spend on new cookware but after learning the cancer causing dangers of cookware coated with Teflon, it was a must! I have had this cookware set for about 4 months now and they still look great (I even put them in the dishwasher...gasp!) I have brunt sooooo many things on these pans but they clean so well. The burning was totally my fault. I turned the range up too high for quicker cooking. I love this cookware set. If you need a set that doesn't break the bank but will hold up and won't be a pain to clean, this is the cookware set for you! LITTLE TRICK: If you want to get your pans shiny again, coat them in pasta sauce! I learned that trick by leaving pasta sauce in the pan all night! Haha! ... show more

This was my second Tramontina purchase. The first being a single burner induction set with medium sized frying pan. We loved this burner and pan so much we decided to buy the set. The induction is nice for instant heat and the portability allowed us to cook outside, which keeps the house odor free and the kitchen cleaner. This set is very well made and has a great assortment of pots and pans for most needs. It isn't nonstick, but it doesn't matter since you can clean anything off the bottom if you boil some soap and water in it. And if you cook with a little lower temperature and light oil, nothing will stick anyway. I highly recommend these pans!! ... show more

Great deal for the price. I read the directions (really - for a pair of stainless steel pots and pans), and have been careful never to heat them above medium high. After hard boiling some eggs, I noticed some discoloration in the bottom of the medium pot. It has continued to spread. I don't particularly care, I guess. I have an old electric stove (in an apartment) - these pans make cooking so much more efficient. They are pretty and I have not had any problem with food sticking, so very easy clean up. I am so happy I purchased them - when I first got them I was afraid to use them because I didn't want them to get "messed" up because they look so nice, but now I use them all they time, and I am completely happy. These pots and pans cook as well as my expensive AlClad. They heat and cook evenly. I bought these for a second home where I wasn't planning on cooking that much.
