I have John Deere z445 zero turn and for the past 10 years I’ve been tortured by the stock seat. Found this and contacted the seller regarding fitment to my machine. They responded promptly and while they said they don’t have a bolt-on solution, I decided to take the chance and buy it, and am I glad I did!!! I had to make a set of adapter rails and drill new holes on the unit to enable it to bolt onto the stock sliding mechanism, and reroute the wire for the seat safety switch. A couple hours work and it was installed. It raises the set a few inches, but that is not an issue. The first use after installation was amazing! Instead of being jarred incessantly on bumpy ground, the ride was much more comfortable. A bit of trial and error getting the proper spring tension and it was a completely different ride. I wish I had done this years ago. While not as comfortable as an air-adjustable seat, it’s a lot less expensive, was simple to mount, and provides a great ride.

Seat with shock absorber is much more comfortable than stock. Installation is easier with 2 people, but I managed by myself. Very well built so it should last as long as my new mower, and maybe the next one, too. Highly recommend.

I have 2 older Exmark Lazer Z mowers (a 2008 HP and a 2014 S-series), and this suspension kit is not a direct fit for either of them. It took over an hour to install, and I had to drill my own holes into the kit on both the seat side and the mower side. I also had to fabricate some spacers for proper clearance. However, it was worth the effort! The improved ride quality is worth the installation headache. I will buy a second one for my other Exmark mower. I subtracted a star because it's not a direct fit.

First of all, this thing is made well. The plate and springs are thick and the finish is nice. It’s a heavy piece, but you can install it alone. It made a huge difference in the ride of the mower and it’s way cheaper than the upgrade from Kubota.

This suspension system is well worth the money. I installed it on my older Snapper S200 series zero-turn mower. This mower has been a great machine but it rides like a brick. We have just purchased a new Ferris Mower with a fancy suspension seat and I never knew a mower could ride so well. That prompted me to make some upgrades to the old mower but a seat like the Ferris has is too expensive for me to put on a 10-year-old mower. This system is a major upgrade and if installed correctly works great. Just for clarification, this is not going to match the ride comfort that the Ferris has but it is not far behind. I really like my Snapper but could not run the machine for more than three or four hours without taking a break. Having this seat suspension system, The mower will handle some of the roughest bumps without the bone-jarring discomfort I have lived with for the past ten years. In my opinion well worth the money.

Contrary to the description, this device WILL fit a John Deere lawn mower without modifying the mounting plates. In the description, it states that the device will not fit John Deere. I have a Zero Turn 325 that was made in 2023. The 11" / 11.5" bolt pattern worked perfectly. Because there is no seat adjustment rails, you will want to raise the seat mount about 1.5" above the seat plate that is on the lawn mower. Rather than using washers or pipe for a riser, I cut / folded / welded a 2' long piece of bar stock to make a couple of risers. The seat now allows me (a 6'-1" man) to sit on the seat and not have my knees up near my chest. This added about 5" to the seat height and makes the ride a LOT more comfortable. Please consider if you need more height or a softer ride. At today's price of just under $200.00, it is a pricy add-on. That makes it about 9% of the cost of the new mower... Yea, that's Pricey to say the least.
