I have this hose in the 100’ & the 50’. Both are light weight, easy to carry and easy to put on a reel. That said, the hose will kink but the difference is that this hose unkinks a lot easier than a regular rubber hose. The hot and cold temperature does not affect how flexible it is. A great hose.

When the box arrived, I asked myself if this was really a hose because the package was so light. For a 50' hose I expected something quite a bit more bulky and was pleasantly surprised. The plus: The hose has a nice and generously long pipe connector piece. I get sooooo frustrated with hoses that have a short connector that gives me nothing to grab onto in order to tighten the connector onto my faucets. The connectors on this hose are long and tightly threaded so they feel quite secure and leak-proof. (Extra o-rings also come with the hose.) The light weight is really nice, making it easier to drag around my yard. Issues: All of my hoses kink in various ways -- the thick ones kink in frustrating loopey loops and the thin-walled ones kink in little points. This hose is no exception, but the kinks are not hard to get rid of. When laid out flat, the hose is not smooth and looks a little deflated so it takes some getting used to. But if you have a spray nozzle on the end that can be closed to leave water in the hose, that will probably take care of the flabby look. My nozzles have all decided to call it quits on me and I didn't want to use the pointed nozzle included with the hose, so I just have been letting the hose drain out until I can buy one of my preferred nozzles. The one really surprising (and a little negative) thing for me and the reason I removed a star was that the inner diameter that dictates how much water comes through is much smaller than I expected. With the hose described as 1/2" (is this OD or ID?), the actual water coming out seems much less than that. The stream was thinner than I expected with other 1/2" hoses I own. I don't know if this was a feature of not having a sturdier "pipe" to create more pressure for the water to come through or if the dimensions of the inside of the hose are even smaller than 1/2", but I did notice the decidedly smaller water output. I didn't get this hose for big watering projects so that is not a huge issue for me, but if you need more water, size up and get a larger diameter than you think you need.
