I have tried several litter boxes over the years, and this automatic litter box has easily been one of the most convenient upgrades I’ve made as a cat owner. The biggest selling point for me is that it works with virtually any type or brand of litter. I didn’t have to purchase expensive specialty litter, pellets, crystals, or proprietary refill trays. I was able to continue using the litter my cats were already comfortable with, which made the transition much easier and saves money over time. The automatic cleaning feature does a great job of removing waste and keeping the litter bed fresh between full cleanings. It is especially helpful in a multi-cat household because I no longer feel like I have to scoop the litter box several times throughout the day. The waste is deposited into a separate compartment, which helps control odors and keeps the main litter area much cleaner. I still empty the waste compartment and wipe the unit down regularly, but the amount of daily hands-on maintenance has been dramatically reduced. I also appreciate that my cats always have a freshly cleaned place to go. It took them a little time to investigate the box and become comfortable with the movement and sound, but once they adjusted, they began using it without any problems. The unit feels sturdy, operates smoothly, and is much quieter than I expected. The safety features are reassuring as well because the cleaning cycle pauses or does not begin when a cat is inside or nearby. No automatic litter box is completely maintenance-free, and it is still important to add litter, empty the waste drawer, and occasionally give the entire unit a thorough cleaning. However, those tasks are much easier than scooping multiple times a day. Being able to choose my own litter is what really sets this model apart from many other automatic options. It gives me the convenience of a self-cleaning box without locking me into expensive supplies. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this automatic litter box. It has made litter-box care cleaner, faster, and much less unpleasant. I would recommend it to anyone who wants the convenience of automatic scooping while still having the freedom to use the litter that works best for their cats and their budget.

I honestly really like it, didn’t take my cats more than two weeks to adjust to it. It’s very quiet, and very efficient. Sometimes the excrement doesn’t dry all the way, and a bit of it will stay in the drum. But there’s no mess, and it doesn’t bother my cats at all! There’s an occasional odor, but nothing like a manual litter box! Definitely worth it for the money!! just be patient with your fur babies!

This product worked great for the first few weeks, so much so that I ordered a second one. But that quickly changed. Its broken already. The side plastic locking mechanism that holds the drum, is loose and won't hold it in place, no matter what I do. Which results in the drum getting stuck, shuddering, and completely not working. It also causes the cat waste to get stuck, shift around, fall on the floor and smear all over the unit. So far the second one is working just fine, but honestly, Im just waiting for it to break too. Really unhappy that I wasted my money.

I was hoping this would work but it never “auto cleans.” After my cat has used it, it just lets the waste sit there. Or it starts to move and then the “pause” light comes on. It’s supposed to pause if a cat comes near or gets in, but it stops with no cats present. Even if it did work, I wasn’t a fan of the cloth material that the area where the litter sits is made of. It quickly gets wet with urine and needs a cleaning. I don’t get why they didn’t make that area out of a more maintenance free material.

Okay, I love it! The only downside is the sensor at the bottom because I have to get the box underneath it just right for it to cycle, and the cats tend to move it sometimes (which makes sense). HOWEVER, everything else is so perfect! I love putting it in kitten mode so I can cycle it when I want, and it allows me to keep an extra eye on things. We had the Litter-Robot from Whisker prior to this one. We paid $1k and expected a good product with decent customer service, but boy were we wrong. It broke after only 1 year and 4 months, which is freaking ridiculous! Customer service told us to buy a new base for $400 while not even knowing what was wrong with it. I will never be shopping with them again because while I wasn’t expecting much, I definitely didn’t expect something so unhelpful and rude. Needless to say, we were then on the hunt for something WAY more affordable. This one works so well, and it’s so much easier to manage and clean. So far, I’m so happy with it! Obviously, we’ll see how long it lasts and what customer service is like if we ever need them, but for the price and our experience so far, I’m really impressed!

I have waited a long time to find an automatic litter box I could afford, and here it is. I showed it to my cat when I first set it up (easy to do) and she went right in. It's very quiet with no smell whatsoever. It was running one time and she walked right up to listen and watch, that's how quiet it was. I am very pleased so far and it's only been in use for a few days.

Would not work. Noticed necessary magnet missing on the waste bin. Borrowed one from other similar litter box and that finally fixed problem. Now I need a magnet from Thereye to fix permanently. Have requested one. Will update my rating once resolved. *UPDATE* The support folks at Thyreye reached out to me and were very supportive. And, the device is working well. I am updating my rating to 5 stars. Thank you support!
