I purchased one last year and now ordered another one for different door. I love this awning. Great price, the size is perfect, and it looks great. I purchased to protect the facing around my back door due to I had to have the wood replaced twice due to the rain rottening it, now it stays dry. It last thru high winds and winter snow. Very pleased with the first one. I can't wait to get the other one. I was skeptical about how it would hold up in the winter with snow and ice and the high winds. Great Product!!!! ... show more

Assembly and installation was a two man job. Would have been helpful if it had included an installation template to drill the holes in the wall. Most of the parts are plastic, but once assembled it seems to be relatively sturdy. The appearance is nice and would blend in with most house trim since it is white. I totally understand the frustrations some other reviewers had. Because it is true, like others said, the only parts that are metal are the bolts. All other parts are "plastic-like" and feel cheap by touch. However, the only time when you can "feel" it is when you are installing it. Once it's up there, you don't need to climb up a ladder and feel it by touch any more. You just look at it. Oh my, doesn't it look nice and sparkling! From a near distance, it definitely looks sturdy and elegant. Make sure use the enclosed screws to fix the four corners. That's very important to make sure it won't fall apart. The bolts may be a little tricky sometimes, but make sure to do it right otherwise the wind and snow may cause damage. Other than that, we are pretty happy with the purchase. None of my neighbors thought it costed less than 100 bucks. Well worth it! ... show more

I regret buying this awning I thought it would serve its purpose and be easy to install but neither of those happened It was hard to install and finally once I got them up realized it is so thin and plastic that the storm we had caused it to freeze and shrink and the gap after the freeze caused no protection above my door and I bought 2 they both did the same thing I do not believe they are to block sun because if the plastic froze and shrank I’m sure the sun will make it deform in some way also So all and all I got nothing from this product but a headache trying to put them up and the headache I bought them for I got nothing out of this except wasted money and wasted time ... show more

    • Easy install assuming..... but won't last forever.
I like these awnings because they are not expensive and assuming you have an unobstructed flat mounting surface, they aren't too hard to install. They work well and look pretty good too, for a few years anyway. After that the polycarbonate gets ugly because gradually the corrugations fill with water, then mold. Maybe sealing the edges with silicon before installing would help. The manufacturer should try that improvement and brag about it if it works. ... show more

I read the reviews and almost didn’t buy it. I’m glad I did. It is well made for the money. I’m going to get two more. There is a learning curve for putting it together but not difficult at all. You would have to be brain dead if you need instructions. You will need to get your own mounting screws to attach to the house. No biggie. They send you mounting bolts that are really used if you house is made of block. ... show more
