Assembly and installation was a two man job. Would have been helpful if it had included an installation template to drill the holes in the wall. Most of the parts are plastic, but once assembled it seems to be relatively sturdy. The appearance is nice and would blend in with most house trim since it is white. Overall I'm satisfied.

The included bolts are still too short for the product itself. The end pieces are made of plastic and are too thick to use the included bolts and sleeves. You'd have to install it so that the sleeves stick out about an inch from your mounting surface. Measure carefully but honestly, you're better off getting your own bolts. The bolts included are for concrete installation only, so if you have other materials, you'll need different bolts anyway. The awning itself feels very flimsy but it's the most economical option we could find for this size.

I totally understand the frustrations some other reviewers had. Because it is true, like others said, the only parts that are metal are the bolts. All other parts are "plastic-like" and feel cheap by touch. However, the only time when you can "feel" it is when you are installing it. Once it's up there, you don't need to climb up a ladder and feel it by touch any more. You just look at it. Oh my, doesn't it look nice and sparkling! From a near distance, it definitely looks sturdy and elegant. Make sure use the enclosed screws to fix the four corners. That's very important to make sure it won't fall apart. The bolts may be a little tricky sometimes, but make sure to do it right otherwise the wind and snow may cause damage. Other than that, we are pretty happy with the purchase. None of my neighbors thought it costed less than 100 bucks. Well worth it!

This was a struggle to fix to wall. it did not help that one of the bolts was too big so we had to run out and buy more from shop. it is quite flimsy but so far it has held up to very heavy rain. we have not put any sealant between awning and wall and no rain comes through the gap between plastic and wall i did not get in touch for replacement bolt because we had help to fit it and no time to wait. i suppose an easy mistake when package was put together it was the outside cylinder that was just a fraction big in that the hex bolt inside could not grab it when bolt was tightened. after 6 months or sadly plastic cover is collecting mold inside the plastic.

If this gets on easily May add two more 1 over back door and 1 over East outside door. Or move back door and add carport with easier entry door to kitchen and make a hallway so that family room become a pantry and a small home office. Adding a back porch by carport this will definitely work off master bedroom 😃.

It’s cheap. It serves its purpose. The siding on the picture must be wood cause you need major modification for vinyl. Works great gives you about 1.5ft of dry standing space to unlock your door when it’s raining. Well see come snow fall. Testing in NY.
