This SSD/heatsink combination works fabulously with a PlayStation 5 console. I used the larger aluminum heatsink and the SSD/heatsink combination just fit inside the designated expansion slot inside the PS5. I was able to put the top back on the expansion slot area after installing and secure it with the screw with no issues. Please see my screenshots for the screens I encountered in the installation process. I installed the 2 TB Admirable model. Right after installing, I moved all of my PS5 games to this new SSD. I didn't install my PS4 games there because I have them installed on another 2 TB external drive attached to one of the USBs on the outside of the console. It's been a couple weeks since I installed the SSD and moved the games and I haven't had any issues with it or with the combination of ways that I have things installed. As you can see from my screenshot, the Sequential Read Speed I got upon installation is 6556.838 MB/s, which is higher than Sony's recommended 5,500 MB/s. I highly recommend this SSD for your PS5. This is about the lowest price for a 2 TB internal SSD of this speed and configuration that is compatible with the PS5 that I have seen so far.

This review is for the 1TB TEAMGROUP T-Force CARDEA A440. It has amazingly fast speed in my Dell Inspiron 7445 2-in-1 laptop. It utilizes PCI-E 4.0 spec and the speeds show it. They say a picture speaks a thousand words, so please see the attached picture. I used Crystal Disk Mark to test after a fresh Windows 11 install. Please note, this drive includes a larger desktop style heat spreader, and a thin Graphene heat spreader for laptops. Make sure you install one or the other on the drive before installing it in your PC.

The assembly instructions were not clear to me...but I think I had to choose between the graphite and the aluminum heat sinks...one or the other, not both at the same time. Did I get that right? It was a little tricky to assemble the aluminum heat sink and the SSD, hoping I got the alignment right and that the assembly would fit in the designated SSD slot on my motherboard...but with a little forethought it appears I got it correct. Once assembled, the device was easy to install and has been operating flawlessly ever since.

No instructions. This was my first time buying an nvme drive with a heat sink, so it would have been nice to have even a simple drawing illustrating how to install the heat sink. When I went to install this gen 4 drive, I was surprised to find out that the empty nvme slot on the back of my motherboard is only gen 3. My motherboard only has one gen 4 slot, and that is underneath a beefy motherboard heat sink. So I took out the gen 3 drive I had in there and put this drive in there without the included heat sink. The motherboard heat sink seems to be doing a good job. So then, I took the heat sink that came with this drive and stuck it on the older gen 3 nvme drive and I installed that in the gen 3 slot on the back of the motherboard which otherwise wouldn’t have had any heat sink. Maybe the gen 3 drive doesn’t need a heat sink, but it’s on the back where there isn’t any active ventilation, so it’s probably good to have anyway. Seems to be working well. I haven’t run test benchmarks or anything, so I can’t verify any of the speed claims, but my computer runs well and it has a bunch of storage space, so I’m happy.

For those on a Budget, this does the job very well. Performs as advertised on my 2021 Razer Blade. I know everyone uses this for the PS5, but i took the risk. It is fully compatible and it is a High quality product. when I got the product it was 115.99 and went on sale. Due to the Seller and Amazon policy you cannot get the difference back.. But over all it was still a good barging and I do not regret my choice. I so want to note that it is rather warm be sure to apply the heat spreader provided. I Opted for the Graphene solution that was provided. Over all I like the product and would recommend this.

I purchased the Admirable one for my PS5. It comes with two different heat sinks, but I used the Aluminum one since it had more heat dispersing capabilities. Even though the combined thickness of the heat sink, SSD, thermal adhesive, and bottom plate for the heat sink is just slightly above the PS5 requirements, it still fits into the slot comfortably and there were no issues screwing the SSD Bay covering back in to place. Games load up and play as quickly as the internal storage. In some games, I felt like it might have actually been a litter faster! But that probably was just me!

I picked up this nvme drive back during a sale in December to add storage to my PS5 and it has been great. The drive just pops right in even with the heatsink attached and was immediately found once I turned the console back on. One of the few options where you get the speed required at a good cost!

As the title of the review says, if you buy the "Admirable" model, the drive and the heat sink fit into the PS5 drive bay and work on the console with no problems. My speed test after installing the drive read at a 6500 MB/s read speed. If the drives go on sale for you, I highly recommend it. I bought the 2TB for cheaper than any other drive at the time, it came with a heatsink that fits in the PS5 drive bay and it has excellent read speeds. The five year warranty doesn't hurt either.
