I bought a laptop a year and a half ago after my husband tried to fix the keyboard of my previous one with a knife. Yes, you read that correctly, a knife. Needless to say he chose to try to fix it himself instead of asking his wife who built computers for a living for many years. As I’m sure you can guess, his “fix” did not fix anything. To the surprise of nobody, it made it worse. So I bought a new laptop. I don’t use laptops for much other than just internet browsing or shopping. I use our main gaming rig for anything I want speed or efficiency for. So rather than putting more money into said broken laptop, I bought a cheapish Dell (mistake number 1) to serve my needs. Good price, decent specs, with one major flaw, SATA HD and no SSD. I didn’t care much, as it wasn’t used for anything important. However I’ve used that laptop a small handful of times over the last year and a half and developed an unhealthy hatred of it. Finally, I decided it was time to just swap out the hard drive and try again. So I went searching for a new SSD. I didn’t need anything high end, or exceptionally fast, no M.2 in this one (again, crappy Dell laptop). I didn’t feel like putting a ton of money into a laptop I shop from bed in. I stumbled upon this one and decided to take a chance on it. Received it, cloned my old HD and popped this one in. Sighed a dramatic sigh and turned it back on hoping it would at least load faster than the 5 minutes it took with my old HD. Loaded up after the cloning in about 8 seconds. Needless to say, I was happy. I’m glad I didn’t pay more for a Samsung like I had planned, this baby did the trick and I now have a much healthier and trusting relationship with laptop. We Black Friday shopped in bed and are doing much better. Don’t spend more than you have to, this will do the trick for a fantastic price.

I replaced a 500gb HDD that was in my machine because I did a swap in another one I own with another brand of SDD, of the same size, and the boot speed and everything else was at least 3 times faster. Not this time, it is slower. Don't know if it is the brand or if I needed to upgrade to a larger size, but why not in the other one?Changed that one apples for apples. From my research just swapping from HDD to SDD should make a noticeable difference. Sad to say, not for me this time. I am going to buy the same size of the other brand just to see. It was only a few dollars more than this one. That Amazon Prime coupon gets me every time. Plus the mounting screw holes in the SDD didn't line up anyway. Just a hair off, but enough so that I couldn't get the screws in. Not going to say the other brand because... well just because. I will say it's an off-label like this one sold here on Amazon, no big name stuff. And, yes I know what I am doing.

Update 2: If only I could give negative stars it would be -5. Not only has this drive failed in just a few days time, but as it is past the Amazon 30 day return date it is a warranty repair. This means you have to find the Teamgroup website, fill out an application for repair, mail the drive to Taiwan at your own expense. Then comes the waiting game for however many months it takes to get from you to them, them to do their thing, them to either approve or try to blame you for the failure, and then them to return the drive to you. I cannot reiterize enough how sad this is for a company of their size. No repair centers outside Taiwan? That is rediculous in todays business world. Making the customer pay to get an SSD repaired, and play the mail wait game, when it's an obvious manufacturing shortcoming? Ludicrous!! I cannot say this enough - AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! Update 1: Was a decent drive with good speeds until it failed. Purchased 1/6/2021 & failed 2/28/2021. Tested in multiple computers, now reports itself as PS3111 20 meg not initialized. Will not actually access beyond this information, and definitely will not even format the 20 megs. I have 6 year old SSD's from other manufacturers that have never missed a beat, but the first TeamGroup I decide to take a chance on cannot even last a full 2 months. Obvious quality issues, and NOT RECOMMENDED!

I bought this to replace the stock hard drive on my PS4 Pro. Install process was quick, easy and painless and the hard drive works great. The load times, especially with Horizon Zero Dawn and Final Fantasy Remake have improved significantly. No need to overspend on an SSD, this one is an excellent value.

This 1TB SSD replaced a Samsung 500GB SSD on a lightly used but growing Windows 10 Pro 64bit system. After a few weeks Windows would occasionally take minutes to boot instead of seconds. Then it always took minutes to boot. Checking using Windows Task Manager showed read speeds of 1-7 MB/s (see picture). Replacing old SATA cables with new SATA3 did not help (but did improve the other three SSDs on the computer). Amazon support was sympathetic but unable to help, and TEAMGROUP support was polite but asked for impossible things. So if you run into trouble you are all alone in your sinking boat, and kiss your $ goodbye...

-This is a review for the TEAMGROUP GX2 1TB SSD My Experience: It's pretty amazing not gonna lie, it's a 2.5 inch SSD for $80 and it's 1TB. I needed more storage for my games and saw this available and saw that it had good reviews and it came at a lower cost compared to the competition. Of course being an SSD the load times are amazing and are pretty much on par with my 970 EVO that I have installed as my main boot drive, I can't really notice too much of a difference. Unfortunately I ran into some issues installing it with my case however it wasn't the fault of the drive or anything like that, can definitely recommend this for a secondary drive for your steam library. Positive: + Large capacity, 1TB + very slim, 2.5 inch design + Very fast speeds and load times for games + 3 year warranty Neutral: | Not so much the product itself but did anyone bother proof reading the product description?? "4 TIMES FATER" Negative: - N/A Recommended: A very strong recommendation, either as a main boot drive or a drive for your steam games
