Hot water on demand: No wait, no waste!

We have a small farm distillery and although we have water to the sink, my husband balked at installing a hot water heater since 99% of the time, cold water is fine and I'm the only one who was complaining. When I saw this tankless water heater, I thought it would be perfect for heating water for handwashing and cleaning. It has been perfect for this use and I am loving having hot water at the turn of a tap. Since it requires a dedicated 40-amp circuit breaker (we don't run anything over 80% of load), I waited to install it until our electrician could install an additional circuit. Running wire and adding another breaker was no problem in this industrial space (although he was glad I hadn't suggested installing it in the house since it would have required an electrical upgrade). After installing it, my husband suggesting waiting (again!) until a plumber could run hoses but after looking at the heater, I decided to try it myself. Even though my technical skills are dubious, I had no problem connecting the hoses and getting it operational. I used teflon tape and there were no leaks. So far, it has been completely functional for the limited use that we give it. For the price, I don't know how durable it will be, but if I get just a few years out of it, it will be worth it for me. Next time, I can install it myself.

Don't buy this
Sucks! Do not buy this. The threads were not machined precisely and it has a 32 amp draw. When most switches are standard 20 amp or 15 for that matter. This is not good for household application.

The Day I Got My Sink Back

For the longest time, using my kitchen sink felt like a test of patience. I would turn the handle, then stand there waiting… and waiting… and waiting. By the time the water finally got warm, I had already lost my motivation to wash anything. I got this tankless water heater hoping it would help, but I did not expect such a big difference. The first time I turned on the faucet after installing it, I braced myself for the usual delay. Instead, warm water came almost immediately. I actually stood there for a second in disbelief, just enjoying the simple luxury of not having to wait. Now washing dishes is faster and honestly less frustrating. The temperature is easy to adjust, and I like seeing the exact number on the display. It is compact and does not take up much space, which makes it perfect for a small sink setup. It has been reliable, consistent, and efficient. It is one of those small upgrades that quietly improves your daily routine in a way you do not fully appreciate until you experience it.

Instant Hot water and easy to install!
This small tank less water heater was just what I needed for my second bathroom. The water took awhile to get hot as it's the furthest from my main tank. This was easy to install and I just had to plug it into the outlet to have instant hot water! No more waiting 5 minutes for the hot water to arrive. It was Instantly Hot!! Very impressed and very easy to install! This would also be perfect for campers or RVs in the shower or sink! I definitely recommend!

Major safety concern

I received this tankless water heater and went to install it. I followed the directions and I was shocked by what the instructions say is required. It claims you need a breaker that is rated at over 30 amps while the plug is a standard 110 outlet style. Things to know: A standard home in the US has mostly 15 amp outlets that use 12 or 14 gauge wire that is rated to 20 and 15 amps respectively. Some outlets are on a 20 amp breaker and require the larger 12 gauge wire (think kitchen, microwave, maybe bathroom) to accomodate appliances or expected higher amp draws. In order to install a 30+ amp breaker, you need to make sure the wiring can handle it. The whole purpose of a breaker is to cut off the power before the wire fails. If the breaker can operate at a higher amp than the wire, you risk a fire. Furthermore, there is not a standard three prong outlet in the US that is rated at over 20 amps. You need to get a different style of outlet. In order to complete the install like the instructions say and not risk a fire, you need to install like an RV style outlet or Dryer outlet that is rated for it and then use an adapter to change it down to a standard plug. The instructions clearly ask you to do something that isn't safe so for that reason, I am marking it down. Now, if you don't follow the instructions and just plug this in to a 15 amp outlet, it doesn't seem to trip the breaker (at least not yet). To be clear, this is completely safe to do as you're not modifying the safety mechanism that is already in place in your house (and that is the standard 15 or 20 amp breaker). The install is pretty easy otherwise and it does increase the water temperature. The quality seems ok for the price. You won't be happy if you are relying on this for your hot water. You will be happy if you are using this to get you hotter water while you wait on the water from the hot water heater to reach where you installed this. I can't stress enough however to NOT install a larger breaker. If you want to do that, it requires you to also run new 10 gauge wires. If you're not also replacing the wires, do not replace the breaker!
