  • Served its purpose
Color: Gray
I knew it was gonna be small I was anxious to get my chicks outside so soon as it was warm enough. was their temporary living quarters until I could integrate with the big girls. This is not for full grown chickens.

  • Ok hutch but no door at the top of the ramp.
Color: Natural
The only thing I don’t like about this hutch or coop is that there is no door for the hutch at the top. I use it for a chick coop after my chicks hatch and I had to make a hutch door so the new chicks don’t fall out. There should be a door at the top of the ramp. Also annoyed that the hutch came with chunks out of the wood. They shouldn’t have sold the one I received. I know they saw this during packaging bc it comes very well packaged and there was no damage at all to the box so I know with how deep some of the missing wood is that this definitely happened before they packaged. ... show more

  • Did what we wanted for the price
Color: Natural
We raised three baby chicken peeps from 1 week old with this coop. It lasted very well for almost 12 weeks - then we moved them into a larger house with three adults. It did what we wanted for the time we needed, and we will use it again in the future when we raise new peeps again. We wouldn't keep three adult chickens in this coop for long term, but we never planned to do so. It was good to separate the adult chickens from the young ones while trying to indoctrinate them near each other. Definitely worth the price considering the size and relative ease of construction. We would recommend this product for limited use - not full time use for three adult chickens. The house could accommodate one or two permanently in the right conditions. We did add a "roost" bar across the coop. I wouldn't recommend it for extended outside cold temperatures. Overall we are happy with this product, and do recommend it. ... show more

  • Works for my hens!
Color: Natural
I have two of these, placed inside a chicken run. My chickens free range 10 hrs a day and sleep/eat inside their run. I have a total of 6 hens and it works out fine. They will lay their eggs in it, go inside when is really windy and perch on the roof 99% of the time. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy. I’ve had one of these coops for over a year now and it has held up well ... show more

  • Not Secure. Not Safe!
Color: Natural
I like the roof and that’s about it and that it was fairly easy to put together (took about 45 min). The cage is smaller than I expected. I have two small bunnies, and wish I had gotten a larger cage. Here are the reasons for the single star: very narrow especially with the ramp; the bunnies don’t really have much space to stretch out once you consider a corner that’s used for the potty, the wood is extremely soft; I don’t imagine it will ware well with the weather, the largest door does not stay latched if there is even mild wind (biggest reason for 1 Star). I even put a stone against the door and the door became unlatched. I cannot trust they will be safe while I’m away if the door just opens. I checked the latch and made certain in was latched correctly and it still came open. I will have to secure it with something else if I decide to keep using the it (I shouldn’t have to secure it with another object; it should just work). If you’re reading this, shop for a larger bunny house. If you have chickens, definitely do NOT BUY. Over all this small cage is not secure and I cannot trust it. The only good thing that came out of this purchase is the hope that this review helps someone make a more informed decision. Move on. You’re welcome. ... show more

  • The fir is not strong and breaks easily. Do yourself a favor and just buy the ...
This is so flimsy I cannot even use it. I have a three month old normal size rabbit and he has almost no room to move around on the bottom level and his bed and food bowl will not fit in the house part. The fir is not strong and breaks easily. Do yourself a favor and just buy the materials and build your own. It might be alright if you use it for one bantam chicken or a dwarf rabbit but it is not suitable for anything larger. A strong wind will blow it over unless it is anchored to the ground. ... show more

  • Easy to put together and sturdy.
We are using this as a feral cat shelter. So far the cats are using the caged part to eat. I wrapped the wire areas with plastic to keep the wind out. We also caulked all the areas where there were gaps and used spray roof sealer for the bottom wood that touches the ground. I needed this to keep the turkey vultures from eating the food. The openings are too small for them to get all the way into and I don't have to replace the food as often. We put a cat mat on the area that slides out and stuffed the house part with straw. We also sealed slide out drawer with heavy duty duct tape to stop any cold air from getting in. Looks good out in the yard too. It has a strong smell sort of like cedar but I don't think it is. If it doesnt say so in the discription then it isn't but it smells like it. It should go away if kept outside. ... show more
