It is perfect for one season...

I throw the cover away every spring and buy a new one every summer for the fall closing. This is the 3rd time I am buying this cover and it works great for that. It seems to hold up to a New England winter just fine for the single season and that's all I ask. Let's face it, If you are paying $60 bucks for a pool cover, is it reasonable to expect years of service ? The answer is definitely NO. Listen, I tried buying the "heavy duty" 300 dollar pool cover with a "lifetime" warranty or whatever and get maybe 2-3 years out of it. The third season it is unwound all over the place. i asked myself... WHY ? It takes forever to clean the used cover, dry it, fold it, store it.... for $60 bucks I roll all the rotted leaves and crud up and head to the dump. New one spotless and folded nicely in the box ready for the fall... So take my advice, If your paying less than say $200 for the pool cover, don't expect it to go nicely more than one season in a northern US winter and then judge it harshly if it don't.

Revised Text: This pool cover is easy to install. It is thin and designed to be used for just one season after being removed following the long winter months. Once taken off, it no longer serves its purpose due to weather degradation of the material. I purchase a new one each year to ensure it is functional and reliable to keep everything out of the pool.

Don't do it...

This cover doesn't fit a 24' round pool properly. I ordered one. When it came I put it on our pool and the cover had just enough room to be pulled over the top rail and racheted down. And the cover was so tight that if I left it on the pool like that it would have either A) ripped in the first month from water on top (supposed to have some water on top to act as a ballast) or B) if the cover didn't rip, or give, it would have buckled the pool wall over time. I have owned and maintained a 24ft diameter above ground pool for over 20 years. And like most of everyone else knows your lucky to have a cover last all winter without tearing and making your pool opening in the spring a nightmare. This cover was thin and probably would have ripped in a month or so. I returned the item, in perfectly fine condition, and I'm getting charged a restocking fee and being reimbursed only 26 bucks of the cost. Very disappointed. Steer clear of this one. You don't want it

New pool cover seems thin

I covered my pool with this today and I did notice it seems it might rip easily. Tied rope through one of the loops to hold it while I went to the other side to pull cover and noticed it did pop the metal gromet out. Hopefully it will last the winter season. I'll come back here in May 2027 and let ya know if it made it through the season. For 65 dollars I guess you get what you paid for.

Peace and quiet

Have 6 dogs and two start barking all the time and set the other 4 off. Now, peace and quiet. Can't recommend waiting on purchasing these. Set it and forget it. Has a long battery life, tho I guess that depends on how name times your dog activates it per day! 2 pack makes it more efficient as well.
