  • Great product, be mechanical!
I bought this at age 53, NOT use to getting beat to H33L in a mower. Toro titan,60” cut 7ish MPH on the lawn, a HELLUVA DIFFERENT RIDE. I weigh 200 and is smooth. Now instructions SUCK!

  • GRAVELY SUSPENSION SEAT INSTALL
Works very well - Instructions suck but other then the instructions, very satisfied. If you're mechanically inclined you'll fixer it out. Ck out T-bones vid on YouTube, it pretty good!

  • Works for Bad Boy MZ without modification
Solidly built. Mounted right up to my Bad Boy MZ. Feels like a commercial grade seat and the adjustment works nice both for the suspension and the sliding track. One star off for terrible instructions. Took about 2 hours to install.

  • The suspension does add 6 inches to your ride height.
Love the ride this provides. I received it faster than I was expecting. I read other reviews before my purchase and have to agree that there are no real instructions provided with it but a little common sense and it was a breeze to install. I did need to drill two holes but it came with a drill bit. The increased ride height was to be expected and totally worth it for the ride that it provides. ... show more

  • Well-made and solid
I wanted to give this a five star for some reason it won’t. System bolted right up no drilling or anything. It does exactly what I needed. I was getting beat up on my MZ Magnum, bad boy and this took care of it. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat

  • Great suspension system after you make up for the poor workmanship.
I have a new Bad Boy 60" zero turn, mows great but I have some rough spots in the pasture I mow with it and I'm too old to take that kind of a beating so I ordered this suspension seat. The first seat I order, 4 out of the 6 welded nuts on the seat base plate were broken free from their welds due to cold weld joints. I returned it and ordered a second one. The second seat came with 2 out of the 6 nuts with the welds broken free (see pics). When you have powder coat getting getting into the weld joint it obviously failed before it was even painted. Normally, I'd have sent that one back too, but I really wanted to get a suspension seat on my my outfit. I tapped the other bolts with a hammer, none of the other nuts popped off so I went ahead and welded the two nuts back on rather than return it (see pics). Instructions were kind of minimal, there is no designated route for the seat wiring, the jumpers look more like an afterthought. I used them, they work, but very concerned about chaffing or damage since they just route up through the seat base with lots of moving joints and pinch points. The installation of the seat base itself went well, all the holes lined up both on the mower seat base plate and the underside of the seat, no drilling was needed. I set the slider rails on the mower about 1/4" behind the safety decal (see pics). This allows the seat to go back about 1" from the engine and forward to the point it overhands the front edge of the seat area. If you flip the seat up, be sure to retract the seat all the way back or it will bind with the area below the front edge of the seat. Normally after an experience like this, I'd have given the seat base one star. After mowing with it, what a huge difference that seat base makes. I have the suspension set so the base only compresses about 1/4-1/2 inch when I'm just sitting on it, that leaves plenty of room for travel when I hit the rough spots. The suspension works excellent, it soaks up all the rough stuff and the damping is spot on. An added advantage to the seat is that you sit higher up so ergonomically standing up is much easier. I'm 6'-3" so standing up from the very low stock seat position always felt like I was getting up from a deep knee bend with my feet too far forward, the higher seat makes it feel much more like I'm standing up from a chair. The excellent performance of the suspension base outweighed my initial feeling of dissatisfaction with the unit construction. I hope they get their QA issues sorted out with their welded nuts, then the seat base would be about ideal. ... show more

  • Exactly the seat I was looking for.
Great product, a little lacking on the assembly instruction. Good value for the money.

  • High Quality, No Difficulty Installing
Mounted on a Cub Cadet ZTXS5. I recommend buying the suspension with the slider rather then trying to use the Cub Cadet slider that came with the mower. The ZTXS mowers come in 3 models: The 4, 5, and 6. The 6 has a Cub Cadet suspension, The 4 & 5 do not. Instead, Cub Cadet uses two spacer rails under the slider to keep seat height about equal between the models. This suspension does raise the height of the seat, but, removing the spacers keeps the height increase to about 2.5"-3" when seated. I am 76yrs old with both a full hip and full shoulder replacement in the last 8 months and I had no real issue installing this unit by myself. (I do have 50yr experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.) All the existing bolt holes worked with no drilling. Probably the same for other Cub Cadet models. My suggestion for mounting: First, mount the slide rails to the bottom of the suspension. The rail with the handle goes on the operator's right with the handle facing up. Then mount the suspension and rails to the mower's mounting plate. Next, mount the upper plate to the seat bottom. I used the original Cub Cadet bolts and spacers. Make sure the plate is facing in the proper direction. There are two openings in the plate flanges, a large one and a small one. The small one goes to the front. This is where the adjusting shaft comes through. Then mount the seat and plate on the suspension. That's pretty much it, except running the wires for the seat switch. I brought them out the front and then back in next to the adjusting knob. There are 5 wires in the one cable, so the 2 wire extension provided is useless. I may yet re-route my cable. I haven't mowed yet, but, even sitting in my garage with the suspension adjusted to my weight, the difference was amazing. The only conflict I have experienced is that the front of the seat cushion rubs against the adjusting knob and makes adjusting a bit inconvenient. I don't expect to be changing the adjustment though once set. I could have just ordered the suspension that Cub Cadet puts on the 6, but, I doubt that the price would have been anywhere close to this suspension. This unit is very well constructed. If you have a helper then fully assembling the seat and suspension to each other before installing on the mower may work for you. For me, it was easier to install in two pieces. ... show more
