This Gotham Steel stock pot has quickly become one of my favorite pots to cook with! I use it all the time for making soups, stews, and all sorts of other meals, and so far, I've been extremely happy with the quality. I've purchased plenty of nonstick pots and pans over the years, and one of my biggest complaints is how quickly some of them wear out. Before you know it, the nonstick coating isn't doing its job anymore, and everything starts sticking. Fortunately, I haven't experienced that problem with this pot. I've been using it quite frequently, and the nonstick surface is still working really well. Another feature I absolutely love is the locking strainer lid. The locking mechanism on the sides is really convenient because you can secure the lid when draining liquids. I also appreciate having the lid securely attached when I need to move the pot around. It's a nice feature that makes cooking a little easier and more convenient. The overall construction seems really good, and considering how often I use this pot, I'm impressed with how well it's holding up. I'm hoping it continues performing this well because I've had plenty of other nonstick cookware that didn't last nearly as long as I would have liked. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. It cooks well, the nonstick coating has been excellent so far, and the locking strainer lid is a great feature. It's become one of my most frequently used cooking pots, and I definitely recommend it!

Gotham Steel 5 Quart Stock Pot: A Great All-Purpose Performer I recently purchased the Gotham Steel 5 Quart Stock Pot to replace a bulky, traditional stockpot, and it has quickly become a favorite in my kitchen. Its ceramic titanium non-stick coating is the real star—it makes cleanup after cooking pasta, soups, or chili an absolute breeze. Nothing sticks, and a quick wipe or rinse is usually all it needs. The pot feels surprisingly lightweight, which is a major plus when dealing with a full 5 quarts of water or stew. The handles stay cool on the stovetop, providing a secure grip. I’ve found it to be truly multipurpose: excellent for boiling pasta, simmering sauces, making rice, and even steaming vegetables with the included glass lid. It transitions from stove to table nicely. My only minor note is that, like most non-stick surfaces, I avoid using metal utensils to preserve the coating. For the price, this pot offers excellent value. It's durable, easy to use, and incredibly easy to clean. Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable, no-fuss stockpot for everyday cooking.

Edit: I have gotten used to how to hold the pot so the lid doesn't fall off. Some spaghetti noodles escape but its worth it to not have to clear out the sink or clean a colander. It would be nice if the lid locked I place, but I am pleased with the pot. The pot is a nice pot. It is easy to clean. I was disappointed in the lid. The pieces twist to cover the lid but they don't lock in place. So the lid fell off and all my noodles into the sink. At least with my gas stove the handles get very hot while cooking. So i have to use hot pads to drain the pot. So there isn't any easy way to hold the lid "locks" in place. I would not buy this pot again. But as a regular pot it does work well. Deeper than normal.

I have had this pot for 5 years and its still going strong. Use it for 98% of my family's pot needs (probably 4+ times a week), and unlike a lot of reasonably priced cooking receptacles that get a lot of use that last a few years max, it is holding up to time & use. Also the strainer top is great, use it all the time - beats cleaning a collender. For reference, we do not use metal cooking implements with it, and the nonstick ability has decreased over the years. It is used more for liquid based cooking. Rice and couscous usually has sticking casualties. Overall appreciate this device in my kitchen.

Perfect size pot. The sides are high, which makes it good to cook pasta or soup recipies. I used to have to use my big pots to make soups or cook pasta but now I use this all the time.
