Features

  • 5 QUART PASTA POT WITH STRAINER LID This nonstick ceramic stock pot cooks and drains spaghetti, penne, soup, rice, and vegetables in one pot, no colander needed. The built-in strainer lid, twist and lock handles, and dishwasher safe design make it the easiest way to cook pasta without the mess.
  • STRAIN PASTA WITHOUT A COLANDER Wondering how to drain pasta without a separate strainer? The locking strainer lid lets you pour boiling water straight from the pot into the sink. No transferring to a second dish, no noodles lost down the drain, one less item to wash.
  • TWIST & LOCK HANDLES FOR SPILL-FREE DRAINING Unlike standard pots with loose lids, a quick twist of the handle dials locks the strainer lid firmly in place, so you can tip and pour with full control. No slipping lid, no scalded hands, no dinner on the floor.
  • ULTRA NONSTICK TI-CERAMA COATING The ceramic cooking surface is triple coated and reinforced with titanium, so sticky pasta, rice, and reduced sauces release with little to no oil or butter. Healthier cooking, effortless food release, and no soaking or scrubbing afterward.
  • HEALTHY, TOXIN-FREE COOKING SURFACE Free of PFOA, PFOS, lead, and cadmium, this ceramic pot lets you cook family meals without the chemicals found in many traditional nonstick coatings a top concern for shoppers comparing nonstick vs stainless cookware.
  • EVEN HEATING, LIGHTWEIGHT HANDLING The solid aluminum body spreads heat evenly across the base so sauces don't scorch and pasta cooks edge to edge. At under 3 pounds, it's easy to lift, pour, and maneuver ideal for anyone who finds heavy stainless stockpots a strain. Performs on gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen cooktops (not designed for induction).
  • OVEN SAFE UP TO 300F Start a dish on the stovetop and finish it in the oven without switching cookwaregreat for braises, baked pastas, and one-pot meals that go from burner to broiler.
  • DESIGNED BY EMSON, TRUSTED SINCE 1946 Backed by a U.S.-based company with nearly 80 years of housewares expertise, every Gotham Steel pot is tested by independent third-party labs to meet applicable safety and quality standards, so you can buy with confidence over lesser-known brands.

  • Great product with great price
Size: 5 Quarts
Gotham Steel 5 Quart Stock Pot: A Great All-Purpose Performer I recently purchased the Gotham Steel 5 Quart Stock Pot to replace a bulky, traditional stockpot, and it has quickly become a favorite in my kitchen. Its ceramic titanium non-stick coating is the real star—it makes cleanup after cooking pasta, soups, or chili an absolute breeze. Nothing sticks, and a quick wipe or rinse is usually all it needs. The pot feels surprisingly lightweight, which is a major plus when dealing with a full 5 quarts of water or stew. The handles stay cool on the stovetop, providing a secure grip. I’ve found it to be truly multipurpose: excellent for boiling pasta, simmering sauces, making rice, and even steaming vegetables with the included glass lid. It transitions from stove to table nicely. My only minor note is that, like most non-stick surfaces, I avoid using metal utensils to preserve the coating. For the price, this pot offers excellent value. It's durable, easy to use, and incredibly easy to clean. Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable, no-fuss stockpot for everyday cooking. ... show more

  • Good buy so far!
Size: 5 Quarts
So far we are impressed with the quality of the pot and the nonstick surface. I love the drainage capabilities, but a little disappointed that the materials for the lid are a little thin. I expected a better build compared to the actual pot. Other than that, looking forward to making some great meals and more to come! ... show more

  • Def recommend, solid build, great design for money
Size: 5 Quarts
We’ve been using the Gotham Steel Ceramic Stock Pot for almost a year now, and it's become a staple for us in the kitchen - especially for big family meals. The 5-quart size easily accommodated our family's needs for 5-6 people, whether it was pasta, soups and stews or good old fashioned (and fluffy) non-soggy rice we're south asian so don't like it when rice is sticky. The nonstick ceramic interior is still working like new, a few scratches but be sure to use non-stick spoon and accessories, easy making and easy to clean up with hand. At first, I worried about the handles not being durable, since my sister's same pot's handles became non-tight, but so far ours has been perfect...and the twist-and-lock handles keep the handles secure, preventing spills (great for someone who measures "the right amount" with his eyeball). The strainer lid is brilliant when draining pasta or washing grains, and the copper base is a hair better looking. Everything we made in it—from curries to chewy rice, soup, stew and cooked evenly without scorching. Even if sometimes food got burnt or stuck it was easy to cleak just soak it for couple of hour and easy to clean. Be sure to use gentle sponge or else it will get ruined. 10/10 (the only thing I would want is for it to come in a larger stockpot for bigger gatherings)! ... show more

  • Great Product
Size: 5 Quarts
I really like this stock pot! The 5-quart size is perfect for pasta, soups, and other meals. The built-in strainer lid and locking handles make draining pasta so much easier, and I love not having to use a separate colander. The nonstick surface cleans up easily.

  • Gotham Steel works great if you're careful with it.
Size: 5 Quarts
People seem to be divided about Gotham Steel pots and pans. Some people love them; some hate them. I'm in the former category: I find Gotham Steel products -- all of them -- to be superior to any other cookware types I've ever owned. This pasta pot is terrific, especially with its lid-latches so you don't scald yourself when pouring out boiling hot water. Here are four tips for using and keeping your Gotham Steel cookware working and looking like new: First, you need much lower heat than you do with other cookware. For fried foods (burgers, steaks, chops and the like), you get a perfectly good "bark" on these using lower heat. I've even grilled bratwurst on the flat, square fry pan: perfect! Second, don't try to flip anything until the bottom side has reached a mostly-cooked state. I've seen youtube videos where someone cracks an egg in a cold Gotham Steel pan just put on the stove, then immediately tries to flip it. Don't do this! Give the bottom of the egg a little time to cook on the bottom side. Then it will flip with absolutely no sticking. Third, let Gotham Steel cookware cool to room temperature before washing it. I suspect that the surface can disintegrate if you go from sautéing a steak at stove temperature, then immediately washing it in lukewarm water. Doing this may be introducing micro-cracks to the surface with eventual development of larger cracks and discoloration. By letting these cool to room temperature, I've had Gotham Steel sauté pans last indefinitely: at least 50 uses so far. And they look and cook like brand-new. Fourth, don't use metal utensils on Gotham Steel Cookware! I know it says you can, but don't do it. You can find decent sets of plastic (or other) soft utensils for not very much here on amazon. ... show more
