Very nice stock pot. It’s a compact size, making it easy to handle. I like the locking lid for ease in straining off liquids. However, I’ve deducted one star because the description on Amazon states that the pot can be used inside the oven for baking. The informational material inside the package states it can only be used on the stovetop. I wanted a stock pot that could be used both on the stovetop and in the oven.

I like the weight and shape of the handles - they feel sturdy. I like that it comes with a lid, with a built-in steam release, I like that it operates just as well as more expensive brands do. Good price point, too.

We’ve been using the Gotham Steel Ceramic Stock Pot for almost a year now, and it's become a staple for us in the kitchen - especially for big family meals. The 5-quart size easily accommodated our family's needs for 5-6 people, whether it was pasta, soups and stews or good old fashioned (and fluffy) non-soggy rice we're south asian so don't like it when rice is sticky. The nonstick ceramic interior is still working like new, a few scratches but be sure to use non-stick spoon and accessories, easy making and easy to clean up with hand. At first, I worried about the handles not being durable, since my sister's same pot's handles became non-tight, but so far ours has been perfect...and the twist-and-lock handles keep the handles secure, preventing spills (great for someone who measures "the right amount" with his eyeball). The strainer lid is brilliant when draining pasta or washing grains, and the copper base is a hair better looking. Everything we made in it—from curries to chewy rice, soup, stew and cooked evenly without scorching. Even if sometimes food got burnt or stuck it was easy to cleak just soak it for couple of hour and easy to clean. Be sure to use gentle sponge or else it will get ruined. 10/10 (the only thing I would want is for it to come in a larger stockpot for bigger gatherings)!

I've had this pot a little over a year. Handles loosen regularly and need to be screwed back in. One eventually broke off. At least I only need to re-tighten one handle now. I used the handy lid locking mechanism to drain water (before the handle broke off, obviously) a couple times until once the lid slipped out and spilled my dinner into the sink. It didn't work very well anyway - it drained at a trickle, at best. It seemed to be nonstick for a minute, and I guess it still is... sorta. It's not going to cover for you if you forget to preheat or use oil, but it's easier to clean than a steel pan that's been burned up. I still use this pot several times a week because it is the pot I have and it does still work, but it is a depressing experience that reminds me of my poverty.
