Description

Our heater provides instant, clean heat the second you turn it on. Its infrared heat technology will not be affected by wind or any other weather that you may have. Our electric 3000 Watt IR heater does not emit toxic exhaust like a natural gas or propane heater will which makes these types of heaters the most environmentally friendly and safe to use heater on the market. There's no worry of combustible tanks and gas lines, simply plug in and instantly enjoy the comfort of the infrared heat. Infrared heat is a directional heat and heats the objects around and in turn, the objects heat the air. This is known as "Ambient heat". We have engineered this heater with a heavy duty aluminum housing to act as a heat sink that rapidly dissipates heat from the IR element itself. Product came just as it was described. Installation was very easy as long as you have the 240 volt outlet already in place. It literally took me 5 minutes to hang the mounting bracket and put the heater in place. I plugged it in and had instant heat. I use the heater on my lower patio under my deck. I have under decking for the ceiling and the 3 sides are fully open to the outside. I used the heater for 2 days so far and it worked great. Both nights we sat out a watched tv until 9pm. The outside temperature was 57 degrees and I was very comfortable in a long sleeve shirt. My wife who is always cold had on a sweatshirt and was very comfortable. She even kicked her shoes off because she was hot. Overall a great heater. If you don't have a 240 volt outlet, and can't put one in yourself, you might want to check how much the outlet would cost. Depending on how accessible your electric panel is and how easy it is to run wire it might cost a bit to install an outlet. ... show more

I wanted to rate higher, but just can't. I would likely give 4.5 stars if that was an option. Good news - these things put out a lot of heat, rated at 3000 watts, which is double what the cheaper models do. Of course, it's 220 volt, so you have to account for having an electrician install the appropriate wiring, breakers, and plugs. I was prepared for that, just account for it. Not so good news. I ordered two; one worked fine. The second one wouldn't turn on, although the power indicator was on. Annoying, but the seller responded quickly and sent me new heating elements. When I installed them, it worked fine. So, points for service. One reason I chose these was that the manufacturer is in Utah, not China. Changing the elements is simple but not easy. The issue is that the wires in the unit are very short, so you don't have a lot of room to work. And it would help if you have an extra hand. This is not a job for the average person. Having been a tinkerer all my life, I managed. As you can see from the photo, I did a drop-down install. The porch has a 10 ft ceiling, so I needed the unit to be another 18 inches down, to provide max heat. Once again, not something for the faint of heart, and probably not something the seller would recommend. But, man, does it feel nice when it's 35 degrees. Overall, these do the job well. Haven't used them a long time, so if there are issues in the future, I will update this. ... show more

    • Heats well, Operations manual is awful

The heater has been installed and operating for 3 days and it seems to heat well. The remote works well and my shop is more comfortable. The product appears to be well made and ready for commercial duty as advertised. I held back the 5th star due to a very difficult to find 220V receptacle and a manual that is very poorly written. The UL Electrical Plug Type; JT2-3 6-15P is nowhere to be found in the Indianapolis area. A search of 3 big-box stores, 2 smaller hardware stores and one electrical supply house and NOBODY had this receptacle. Nor could I find it on line. After a frustrating 24 hours I finally cut the plug off the new heater and spent $12 bucks on a more commonly available plug so I could use the heater. As for the manual, where to begin? The cover page contains the following sentence: " Please be careful collection after reading so as to for future reference". What???? The diagrams are of a low resolution and are difficult to read, and there are several other practically unintelligible sentences throughout the manual. Granted, the operation of this heater is not rocket science but for $700 bucks, I'd think you could find and employee or two in a US-based company who might be fluent in English. This is probably a good product. Please hire a technical writer and put a more common plug type on the heater. ... show more

Did not know what to expect from the reviews but these exceeded our expectations. It is almost always cold up here at 8,000โ€™ elevation in the Colorado Rockies, and we wanted something to the edge off when weโ€™re sitting outside enjoying the sunset or eating dinner around the fire table, and these REALLY heat up the space. As you can see from the picture the proximity to the sitting space is pretty close, but that whole area is very warm even though it is completely outside. The infrared heat radiates so even on the lowest settings on a cloudy day my wife who is always cold was chilling in a tank top on the couch in the late afternoon / evening. We are Airbnbing the place and wanted to create a comfortable outdoor space for our guests and these will definitely do the trick!! I love that you also do not need a remote and can manually push the button and it has 3 heat settings. We bought two of the 3,000 watt models. ... show more

I have 4 of these set up on my outside deck. They took the place of several propane heaters. They are much warmer and their heating range is much further. They are super convenient with their included remote control. When I ordered I was concerned that the remotes would get mixed up and not control the other heaters or they would not allow me to have different adjustment levels on the other nearby heaters. Turns out the remote will only adjust the heater it is pointed at. This is really great. The quality of construction is outstanding and they are easy to set up. You just mount them with the included hardware, plug them in and turn them on and they are ready to go. I noticed one review where the user was upset that these heaters don't use a standard plug. They do use a standard plug, but it is for 220V not 110V. Be sure you have 220V outlets. BTW 220V is the reason these can generate so much heat! I had a contractor come in and set up my deck for 220V and I'm glad I did! ... show more

Super easy to install! Went up with 1.5 people (I was needed once to help hold it while screws went in to secure) in probably 1 hour or less. Heats up FAST! Love love love this for our outdoor deck and installing another one on our patio below. Itโ€™s is a 220 volt, but we knew that when building our house so have those added in!
