I bought 2 of these cage fans for my 1100sq ft house with open floor plan and 12 ft peak/sloped ceiling . I was tired of the blade fans wanted something different and I wanted to change the chandelier for a ceiling fan. these were the perfect fit. I like the design of the cage and the flat black color. Even though i have tall ceilings i can feel the air from the fan while sitting on the couch. When I unboxed the fans one was missing a cover plate from the bottom of the fan , this did not effect function so I put them up and contacted the company that made the fans . We had this fan installed by someone. He didn’t seem to have a problem installing it. It’s beautiful! Fan gives off good air flow. Very quiet. It has five bulb, we didn’t want such bright light so we bought 25 watts chandelier lights. It’s perfect. Lights cannot work with a dimmer so you need to buy the wattage you think you need. It is suggested by the manufacturer not to use a dimmer. ... show more

I live in hot Houston. I use the fan over the kitchen table. It does not cool the food off! Plus, I sit there in the mornings reading my paper- good reading light as well as cool - through out the very hot summer. Lovely to look at. I get compliments whenever someone comes in the house.

Thought this looked beautiful, and does however it took me a while to find someone to install it and one of the light sockets did not work. Tried different bulbs, yada yada nope, it’s defective and the fan, as cool as it seemed, is garbage. It’s loud and does not do much at all. Of course by the time I had it installed and discovered all that my return window had closed and would have also had to pay to have it taken down and purchased a replacement so…. The garbage is still hanging in my room! VERY UNHAPPY ... show more

The fixture is very attractive, and I will be keeping it because it is going in my guest room which is only used a few weeks a year. However, the fan is definitely not quiet. The motor may be quiet, but the blades make a sound like a box fan. It's not terrible, which is why I am willing to subject my guests to it for a few nights, but I would not want it in my primary bedroom. ... show more
