This was super easy to assemble (helps if you already have 1/2 inch wrenches and sockets on hand). It does have appearance of being cheaply made, with some joints that could have been fully welded but instead were left partially open where moisture could seap inside the steel bars, but it is actually very sturdy when bolts and nuts tightened appropriately. I have it filled with wood all the way to the top of the ends and it is not bending anywhere. The built-in hooks are not nearly high enough to hold my firepit tools, I'm not sure I will have much use for them. But this seems to be exactly what we needed, something to hold about 100 pieces of split wood, and I think it's a great value for the money. Even if it rusts out within a few years, the time I saved not building one myself is worth it.

Most of the log holders I had seen were 4 ft. long & 4 ft. tall. This is the perfect size to put in my living room. Holds enough wood for 4-7 days (depending on temps. and my schedule). I was using an old metal "holder" that would accommodate 5 or 6 logs. Also had one of those racks with a canvas carrier to bring the wood inside which also held a minimal amount of wood. I would load in wood every day using those devices. I took the one log holder apart and use the canvas carrier-tote to bring in the wood and leave the canvas carrier part on one of the hooks on this new one. This new rack takes up no more floor space than the other two did and I only have to load in wood about once a week. Very easy to assemble and appears quite rigid in it's construction.

I ordered this firewood rack and it showed up in a timely fashion. As I was assembling it, I noticed that it had really bad scratches on it and some of the paint had been scraped off. I immediately took pictures and sent it to the company and they, without question sent me a brand new one. They didn't want the old one back. They emailed me with a nice apology. Nice to know there are people in companies who still stand behind their products! The firewood rack itself is very sturdy and looks good in my den. The 3 hooks on the end are nice so I can hang my bellows on it along with my bag of fire-starters. I highly recommend this rack!

This is typical Chinese made steel. It is not heavy duty, but strong enough to hold a full load of logs. It looks nice and assembles easily, but be careful not to over-tighten, as the bold head will collapse the steel. They should have included black washers to prevent this. I much prefer U.S. made, but that is hard to find. This holder is the only one in this size that we could find, so it is somewhat unique regarding size and look, which is a positive. We bought two, one sits on each side of the wood stove. They look very nice.

Super easy to put together (all tools needed are included in the box). Very sturdy and feels like really good quality. One issue is the spacing between the rails in too wide for small pieces of wood. We use with our Chiminea, which uses smaller pieces of wood. This is easily fixed using longer pieces of wood on the bottom row, with smaller pieces stacked on top of these. Looks good and keeps wood off the ground keeping critters from making a home in the pile and allowing wood to dry out.

We were tired of the wood just laying on the bricks next to the wood stove. It was messy on it's own, but when we moved a few pieces, our dog would lay in the mess to be warm by the stove then drag bits all over the house. This rack fit perfectly and is sturdy. We can stack more wood in it than we were able to stack on the bricks. It was easy to put together and looks very nice. Best of all, no more bits next to the stove for the dog to lay in!

I was a bit dubious of the design thinking once loaded with wood, since there is no bar close to the top of the product, it would spread out and look ridiculous. Nope. Not even. I believe this may be due to the steel that this is made out of. Quite heavy duty..but not heavy so that it would punch holes in the floor. How much wood does this hold really? Yeah.. really about a 1/8 of a cord. This is the PERFECT wood holder for indoors next to the fireplace/woodstove. It is built to be outdoors also..but if you're looking for a good solution for a wood holder indoors that holds more than one load of wood...here ya go! The hooks on the side are a bonus. Welded on and strong.

Very nice unit. I was initially concerned when I saw the total shipping weight of 6 pounds. I was worried that a 6 pound rack might not be sturdy enough for my wood. But, no problem. It ships as three pieces, two sides and the bottom, and bolts together in less than 10 minutes, 8 bolts included. Once assembled, I gave mine a quick-and-sloppy paint job with rustoleum, just as a long-term rust preventative. 24 hours to dry, and it went into service. The height is a nice feature, here's why: I had my chiminea wood "stacked ugly" at the bottom of the stairs when some nosy Association Board Member decided I was in violation of the By-Laws ha-ha-ha. With this rack I was able to move most of my wood to this rack on the porch. The low height comes just to the porch rail, so there is no "ugly rack of wood" projecting above the porch rail for the gad-abouts to whine about. I may make a cover for it this winter.
