I needed a screen for my fire pit, this was the only one available in a larger size. A little heavy when trying to lift off the fire using the hook in middle of dome. Even though it was expensive, I still would have paid if there was an optional broom-type handle available to life the lid. instead i had to make my own using a broom handle and a little hook

We live on the northeast Atlantic Coast and have to replace these every couple of years. That's how long we expect then to last.

Admittedly, this is a perfect replacement for the rusted screen cover on my fire pit, but it cost nearly as much as the original cost of whole fire pit. So, I probably should give it 5 stars, but I can't get past that inflated price.

Sunnydaze ember screen has a nice sturdy handle for lifting it off of the firepit. Sunnydaze has a good quality screen at a great price!

Although there was another firepit cover I liked a little better, it was double the price of this one. And this one's NICE! Just not that tall if you're burning longer pieces of wood. I'm thinking of mounting some sort of guides on the top of my pit, to help keep the cover from sliding off should anyone, God forbid, fall against it. That extra millisecond might give someone a better chance of avoiding a fall directly into the fire.

Ordered for a fire pit and we were looking for a screen that was light enough so as to not be cumbersome. This meets the need and is well made to boot.

It's a decent spark screen, but only lasted 1 season for us. We cover the firepit when not in use, so it doesn't get rained on. I'm assuming the condensation from the weather changing ultimately caused it to rust through, but we were definitely expecting it to last more than 1 season. It's seems counter intuitive to me, but maybe it would've been better leaving it uncovered.

Be warned if you buy this. The listing mentions in two locations that it is 30", but the one I received was only 29.5". It isn't much difference, but it is too small and falls right into my fire pit.
