  • I am so glad I made this purchase!!!
Style: Auto Incline
I had a walking pad. Having stuck to using a walking pad, I decided to upgrade to a treadmill. My daughter had researched treadmills and suggested Sunny Health. I read all the reviews and purchased this one. I am very happy with this treadmill. It is very sturdy, and has a lot of power. The auto incline is so nice and adds a lot to the workout. It was easy to assemble only a couple screws. The pad is easy to adjust and lube. Controls are at your fingertips. And it folds up nicely for easy storage. You just tilt toward yourself and wheel it wherever you choose to store it. It has a hydraulic release for easy use. I am very satisfied with this product. I have suggested it to several people. The cost and value is a plus as well. I’ve waited to review this treadmill so I could use it and give it an honest review and I am very pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • 8 Month Review: Perfect Beginner Treadmill
Style: Classic
When I decided to buy a treadmill instead of going back to the gym I agonized over all the options for weeks. I'm extremely happy I settled on this one and I feel like I owe it the review I would have liked to read when I was still shopping around. For reference, I am a 5'8" 180 pound beginning runner, and I started off using this very intermittently but have been consistently running 2 miles most days for the past 6 months. What I cared about in a treadmill was finding the intersection of the cheapest option that I could find that still felt sturdy and reliable and I think I nailed it. This thing surprised me by not feeling even a little flimsy right out of the box and after 8 months total use there is no noticeable wear, despite even occasionally being used by my 6'3" 220 pound partner, who also reports that it feels extremely solid. Here are some other things you might find useful to know: - If you typically do well with putting together Ikea furniture you will have no problem with this, it's all (included) allen wrenches, pictographs, and a couple bolts, and took maybe half an hour to assemble on my own. - I wanted something that went up to at least 10mph so I would have some room to improve, but honestly I haven't really leveled up past 6mph so I can't say for sure that this actually gets that fast. I've taken it up to 7mph max with no issues. - This is very no frills, just start, stop, faster, slower, and 2mph 4mph and 6mph preset buttons. There are theoretically several interval programs but I personally haven't used them, the preset buttons have been my friends. If you just want a thing that you can run or walk on and you don't care how many buttons it has, this is the treadmill for you. - The heart monitor is completely useless, like not even remotely accurate. I wear a fitbit so I don't care at all about that, but if the pulse reading is a selling point for you just know that this treadmill might as well not have a heart monitor. - There is the option for a very slight amount of incline, which I scoffed at initially. I basically decided to keep it at the max incline all the time since it seemed negligible, but I recently ran on a hotel treadmill and was actually shocked how different it felt to run completely level, so you know, it's not nothing. - This is in an area of my house where I can keep it down all the time, but it does fold and unfold very easily and to what seems like a reasonable size. - As a person who is fairly clueless about treadmill care I have used belt lubricant on this twice since I initially set it up (so three times total) at times when I arbitrarily felt like maybe it might be the right time for it. This may or may not be a selling point about this treadmill's durability, I will let you be the judge. - I have also slightly adjusted the belt twice because it looked like it was maybe going a little off center (purely visual diagnosis, no problems with how it was running) which was a simple two step process that required the same (included) allen wrench. - If I hadn't done the last two pieces of maintenance I suspect that it would still be running fine, since both were done just cause I felt like maybe I should, but who knows, they could have also made all the difference. Either way, personally that seems like a reasonable amount of maintenance over 8 months, but you might disagree. tl;dr If you are a beginning runner who just wants a super basic treadmill that won't break the bank, can grow with you on your running journey, and doesn't feel even a tiny bit like you are going to break any part of it, this one here is a winner. ... show more

  • Balanced review with detail
Style: Classic
**Update 9 December 2016** Having used it for well over a year, I can say it is still going, although it squeaks a bit and is not as tight as it was before. But then it has seen regular use and is not exactly top of the market, expensive stuff. After using it for a long time now, I do miss the ability to summarize work, hitting the trigger is frustrating, not having pause is as well and the side holders are angled towards you so things do fall out or spill easily if not carefully handled. Small things and in no way change my rating of 4* but thought of sharing. **Update 21 November 2015** - After using it for a while, a few more additions. A must have is a mat underneath it if you have hardwood floor, the treadmill is lighter than most and does move. Secondly, as you adapt your running/walking style you do get used to the handles protruding out and don't hit it as often. Another way to avoid it is if you are walking - just hold the handles with one hand or two and walk! Wish there was an adaptor to hold an ipad like screen and the safety key was not so flimsy or easy to dislodge. Also, the pause button is sorely missed - should you hit stop or the trigger the safety all your history is lost! Still, running well and hence still 4* Original review below: == Here comes a long-ish review. I ordered this with trepidation as I look to start building a 'gym' in my newly purchased home. It is not a small purchase to make, literally with size or money, so you don't want to get it wrong and have to return or be stuck with it. Well, I followed the Amazon reviews and the product found its way to my doorstep in reasonably good time. And I mean the doorstep. The ******* UPS man dumped the large package on our front steps at an angle and did not even ring the bell! This inspite of us having been warned by a few reviewers, so we left the main door open and just the swing door on latch so he could see through it. Anyway, after I returned I managed to haul it in. Now I am no Arnold Schwarzenegger, but I am no Woody Allen either, this stuff is easily 100lb+ of an awkward rectangular shape. It was not packaged in hardy cardboard, so I got a box with lots of torn and damaged edges. Struggled to get it upstairs, so had to get a couple of friends to help (no, it really is heavy! Whoever said in these reviews that they did it singlehandedly does not need a treadmill in the first place!!!). Once unpacked, it took about 15-20 mins to distill the instructions needed. There are way too many, when in fact it is fairly simple. Requires some common sense and intuition as instructions, language and figures are not exact and precise. Once set up, you notice immediately that the belt is narrower than any you would have seen. Not a bad thing as this treadmill gets through all doors of a normal home comfortably and takes a smaller footprint. You may need to have a couple of practice sessions to get used to it, but I did instantly. I weigh about 180lbs and am 5'9" and I am handling it ok. I tried going barefoot on it for a while to get the real feel and get used to it, then another try with walking shoes on. I use it primarily for walking by the way. Re. the incline, it is adjusted manually very easily and does not make much of a difference. I did not realise I was walking on max incline out of the box! The handles do impede free running/walking, but you can get used to moving your arms in a way that they swing towards the centre of your body at the front instead of just back and forth. The time, distance, calories and pulse is easy enough. Pleasing is the stop/start and +/- speed setting at your hands on the handles in addition to the ones on the panel for easy thumb reach. Basic panel, with no pause button so if you pull the stop chord or press the stop button you lose all history of your run/walk.The magnetically held stop chord is easy to dislodge, feels cheap. There is a holder either side for a drink or a phone or whatever. Unexplainably there is a groove around the main display which is the right size to put a small tablet or a large phone sideways. But then of course it blocks the view of the display. Noise level is fairly high in my opinion, though I have it in a spare room upstairs and downstairs the noise is bearable unlike ones I have seen at others' places in the past. But even though I put the phone on loudspeaker and full volume I struggle to hear very clearly over the noise of the treadmill. Still, at this price cannot complain, but I can certainly dock one star for poor delivery (I logged the package feedback, no one has contacted me yet, why do I bother?! Get rid of ******* UPS!!), no pause function, slightly cheap/plasticky feels in part of the panel, no choice of more inclines and poor positioning of handles given the narrowness of the running belt itself. Still, heavily recommended - all points above are for balance and your consideration and in no way detract from my liking this product. ... show more
