I received my elliptical machine 5 weeks ago. Short story: I love it and it meets my needs very well. Goal: Cardio is the goal. Does it work?: Oh yeah! Long story: They recommend 2 people for assembly. I did it by myself in 4+ hours. Only 1 part of assembly is a little challenging solo, but was able to think it thru. I read other reviews about squeaks after the first week or so. Yep, me too, but really not an issue. The assembly uses curved washers to fit against the structural tubing. After a week of use these washers settled into place becoming a bit loose. I kept the hex wrench (supplied) handy and just re-torqued the screws. It's really not a problem but more of a break-in period. I recommend following the instructions on NOT tightening all the screws until the very end of assemble. This allows for some "wiggle room" during assemble, which was definitely needed. Usage: I put the machine in a spare bedroom with an 8ft ceiling. I'm 6'1" and have plenty of clearance while on the machine ... except for the ceiling fan. I moved the machine toward a corner and problem solved. Programming the machine took a bit to understand. I was put out by having to scroll and set my age every time I got on it, but learned there are 4 user programs that would remember my settings. The vertical arms and the pulse sensor T-bar feel just a bit low for me, but really not a issue. My only real criticism is the pulse sensor. It's only on the lower stationary T-Bar and not additionally on the vertical arms. Also, if I grip the T-bar too tightly it fails to sense my pulse correctly. I really like the magnetic resistance. It's VERY smooth. You can use the machine without power. It defaults to a medium-light resistance, but unplugged during a higher setting will retain that setting. I have the machine in a carpeted room, but purchased a treadmill mat for it to sit on. It will make cleaning around it easier. Construction and welds look good. The goal is cardio. It works. i assembled my elliptical today , took me 2 hrs by myself, looks worse than it is. i am very impressed with how solid it is and this thing literally makes no noise @ all. i have previously owned a pro-form and i did like the space saving flip up rear fly-wheel, but it creaked and swayed, and clicked and it was heavy, the so called fan sucked, my dog could pant in my face better than these built in fans. it was the older version from today 's newer model , which looks like a beast to stand up on end for space saving and 2x the price + #50lbs heavier, so i took a chance with sunny and a front fly-wheel and it doesn't fold up, and i think i made the right choice ( so far)... there are no bells & whistles ( for me all the better), a simple program to follow not to complicated as i have read about the new pro-form, no built-in fan, good i have a small clip on desk fan i will use.i really like the roller blade style wheels for the glide bars and also the two wheels to roll and move it, the 1st i have seen that style wheel on an elliptical, it's usually some bow-tie shaped roller from plastic that isn't very smooth and or quiet granted i have only used it for one program and it is in my garage, so a very flat hard surface. as of day one PRO's: super quiet solid & stable smooth glide with roller blade style wheels on glide bar simple programs good arm motion and a pretty good leg stride lighter than pro-from model i was looking @. has a place to put your tablet and a h2o bottle holder. CONS: well none so far for me so far but if you like blue tooth and wireless connections etc. this isn't for you no incline adjustment doesn't fold up (not a space saver) i will up date as i use it more to give a more accurate review but i am initially impressed with the quality and smooth quiet operation ... show more

Please read all of the way through if you are considering this bike. This is a total piece of crap. Please do not buy. We bought this for our daughter. It came and we put it together, not real difficult...has good directions. Once she got on to exercise, we found out the pedals were stuck....magnetic error. So, we had to return to Amazon. Normally, that's not a big deal, but it was a pain to un-build the entire piece and fit it into the box. Then I had to load the 60 pound box in the back of the truck and take it to the UPS mailing center. Not cool. Then, the replacement came....since I had already put one together, the second one was easy. The pedals worked...bigger issues started the next night. A loud screeching could be heard downstairs. It was unbearable. So, this one had to be returned. However, the box was already gone. SO after unsuccessfully searching at several sports stores, I contacted amazon and they sent me a package of boxes that a had to put together 2 of them, since they don't sell boxes this big. It was great of Amazon to do this at no charge. Upon them receiving the 2nd non-working bike, I expected a full refund. NOPE. They charged me a restocking fee of $20+. Ridiculous. Even more ridiculous is they are re-stocking it for another to buy....will that be you? I hope not. Sorry for the rant, BUT, you have been warned about this. DO NOT BUY IT. ... show more
