LT1000 circa 2005. exact fit replacement. these are must have items in reserve. I change mine every pre-season as part of my tune up routine. Do I need to? No, but I can't stand when something simple breaks mid-season and these things are prone to breakage.

I got this because my cable finally broke. Mine was original with a steel outer wrap. It has been very hard to engage the cutting deck for more than a year now. The last time I went to mow the cable pulled out of the connection point so there was no way to engage the deck. This set has 2 cables. It was easy to install this and I found the diameter of the metal for the spring was a little bit larger than the original one on my mower. It was still able to be attached to the pulley and there is a world of difference on how the handle acts when engaging the deck blades. I actually have a faster spinning deck with this new cable. I guess my old cable was so ad it was not fully engaging the belt all the way so I was spinning slower than it should have been. Now the grass has way less piling up on the discharge. I highly recommend this as it works very well and you get 2 cables
