I like it even more than I thought i would . Its very sturdy and really looks nice . Assembly wasn't too difficult if you are a bit handy . I would say 3 people could probably do it in a day . I got mine in the winter and was able to do some of the assembly in the basement prior to actually setting it up , so that helped . I assembled the cross beams and the main roof beam before set up and two of us were able to assemble the whole thing in a day. I did get two wrong parts and had to contact sun joy . You are probably not going to speak to anyone on the phone and its not 24 / 7 customer service , but the were very responsive through email and sent the correct parts out in about 10 days , so i was happy with that . The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 stars is because it needs a bit of tweaking, however it’s not a big deal. The metal roof needs to be altered so that it doesn’t come loose and have all the issue some have had. All you have to do is buy at your local hardware store metal roof screws and as you install each panel run some screw into the metal frame below. We have had to storm come through my area with 60mph winds and everything stayed in place. The instructions are easy to follow and all the hardware is labeled. Love the gazebo. ... show more

My issue is with this company as a whole. For reference, I purchased 2 units and built / installed them the same day. The wood and roof panels are cheap. I reinforced both to handle weight and wind. One of my roofs was defective (peeling and rust everywhere - even more on the backside not pictured, however the manufacturers warranty is only 12 months and it became more obvious at around month 14 to me. I filed a claim and they told me the spare parts are out of stock even though the seller site indicates a 5 year replacement part timeframe. After approximately 11 emails back and forth (service center timezone is outside the USA), I finally got a quote for replacement roof panels….wait for the ending. The service department email back and forth was every frustrating. First I competed a form, then they wanted pictures, then a video, then the original receipt…. Then repeat questions and it kept going. In the end they offered me replacement panels that they somehow located. They quoted me $4061.00. Yes indeed, the replacement panels cost more than 2 brand new pergolas. When I figure out how/why this works like this, I will provide an update. In the meantime, I am working on a plan to replace two pergolas since I can’t have them side by side. ... show more

We are very pleased with our gazebo and hope to get much enjoyment using it. However, be aware that the many pages of directions do not contain any written narrative or measurements. The directions consist of only mechanical drawings and arrows. The hardware is packaged in individual zip lock bags and well labeled. The ground stakes are only eight inches long and certainly not sufficient to hold it in place. We put in 12” diameter sono tubes, with rebar and 14” X5/8” J hooks and filled them with concrete. We put sound deadening rubberized tape on the metal roof rafters before placing the roof panels to minimize any rattling sounds. We are in our 70’s and do a lot of home projects - this is not a 10 hour or one day job! We are very happy with our finished project! ... show more

This was a no-brainer for $1900. All other permanent options were well above $7500. Thing is sturdy and looks great. Customized a little and added some gutters since one of the sides is right up against my back screen door. Bought this 7/2023 and finally finished it. Definitely read the reviews. It influenced our purchase. We opted to reinforce the roof panels with specific roof screws and are not disappointed. We decided to take precautionary measures because we live in a windy area and some of the complaints in the reviews dealt with wind. Not understanding why the product description says it can withstand strong winds and inclement weather. However, the booklet that comes with the kit says it's for shade and rain only. We had to purchase stronger brackets to add for extra support. We didn't trust the durability.
