Our gazebo was delivered via FedEx and it arrived in excellent condition. All of the finishes are good and the gazebo is attractive. I saw several reviews saying it took 2 people 8 hours etc. and I was thinking that would be the case, however, I'm pretty handy with tools and assembled it in 5 hours mostly alone. My SIL helped with the initial part attaching the legs to the top frame but after that, it was just me. The roof is tinted and not a complete sun-blocking material. Desert climates may want to do something extra with the roof material like paint the underside for more sun blocking. For us here in Utah the tint works fine. The roof material actually resembles plastic cardboard for lack of a better term. Because of the design, it is plenty firm and solid as well as lightweight. It is well designed and assembly went smooth. Don't expect extremely detailed instructions with lots of explanations because that is not the case here. You do get simple instructions with short easy steps but on more than one occasion I just looked at the part number for the step and figured out how it went easily. There are a lot of pieces but it is not overwhelming if you take it one step at a time. The hardware is marked nicely and they give you more than what you need to do the job so don't be alarmed if you have screws and bolts left over. I recommend using a T-handle hex wrench (4mm) or a socket 4mm hex and avoid the hex wrench supplied with the hardware. The only other tool needed was a Phillips screwdriver. I do agree with the complaints about the packaging. The box with all of the frame parts came damaged. I feel the reason is the box is just too heavy and ends up getting dumped in delivery. Delivery in three boxes rather than two would correct this issue. One of the legs was bent at the bottom but I was able to bend it back into an acceptable shape. Complaints about holes not lining up are misleading. You just need to keep the screws loose enough to wiggle until you complete each section. This will give you the play you need to line up the holes. Anyone that said the instructions are hard to follow certainly has never purchased anything from IKEA!! If you pay attention to the letters and numbers on the parts and keep them laid out in an organized manner you will have no issue at all. You do need two people and two ladders to make it easy and to not bend the top portions of the frame. Does not weigh very much so you will need to anchor it if wind is a factor in your area. I have anchored the legs to my deck through the holes provided but I will probably figure out a way to tie the top to something as well for added support because I'm not sure how well the angled support brackets will hold during heavy winds. From start to finish it took me 5 hours with breaks to make fresh Bloody Mary's and time enjoy them. All in all I'd say a solid build for the price. EDIT 11/4/22 - Lasted the entire summer in Arizona with blistering heat and many many heavy wind storms. No damage and has provided many hours of shade. Great product indeed! ... show more

We love our new gazebo. It is awesome easy to put together. Checks all the boxes. The only thing I would like to see would be like a cover for the bolts that go in the ground. So a cover on the Pole, covering the bolts on the ground, besides that it is so worth the money.

I will admit I was not expecting much considering the price vs the stuff I saw in places like Lowe's and Home Depot. I was skeptical that this was going to be shipped in two boxes and delivered by FedEx. I was wrong. Everything was packaged well, nothing damaged in shipping, all parts were present and labeled. The instructions were clear and concise. Bonus points for including extra hardware like screws and hooks. While I was assembling it, I was worried that it felt pretty flimsy. I've assembled enough things in my life to understand that it is the overall structure that gives something stability, but even so, I was not optimistic. However the final product is very stable and sturdy. It was comparable to anything I saw in Lowe's or Home Depot, but for hundreds of dollars less. The only thing I am concerned about is the polycarbonate roof panels holding up, they are...very lightweight. Overall though, this is a great buy. ... show more
