A near exact replacement for the original Atwood. Wiring a bit different (one less wire whose function is not well defined) which led to some consternation as the condition is not explained but does not seem to effect operation. Tank insulation is not nearly as good as the original being cardboard covers fiberglass in place of formed foam. Although ignition spark is working we have yet to get gas solenoid to open so only electric heating working. ... show more

Perfect fit. But as I said in the instructions are lacking. You must bend the flanges out to attach. The product does work well but I have yet to determine the control wiring. I have 4 wires to the old unit but the new one only has 3. I still highly recommend this unit.

This item is a suitable replacement for the old Atwood heaters of the same configuration. There seems to be some confusion about the "mounting bracket." It is, indeed delivered with EVERY unit BUT it has to be folded out, easily, at the front using the perforations made in the sheet metal. The manufacturer could provide some better instructions about that, but, otherwise, installation is not too hard. They are a tight fit and the wiring is slightly different but not impossible. The unit I installed took about 6 hours taking the old unit out and putting the new one in and connecting the gas line, water lines, and both AC and DC electrical lines (I had to run NEW DC lines because the old unit had a pilot flame and didn't need the DC. I also had to add a new switch & Reset Indicator for the new one. But the new unit is working just fine!! ... show more

It was smaller than the Atwood I replaced and it was supposed to fit, it didn’t have any flanges to cover the older Atwood holes drilled into my RV . We’re also having problems getting the propane to ignite to get the propane working. I ordered the new cover hopefully it will cover the holes . And I had a RV Tech doing the work. He hasn’t figured it out yet we will be calling Monday for help. It’s been over a month and I still can’t get the flange they are out of flanges. I need it so I can put the door on and cover all holes that were drilled from the Atwood. I can get the door but not the Flange without the flange I can’t put the new door on. My RV tech has ordered it 3 times a flange that is but all we get is the door not the flange. I know this doesn’t make any sense . But we order a flange and door and only get the door 3 times now. They said it was in stock but out after we get a door only, why send the door when you can’t put it on until you have the flange. One more thing the unit I ordered didn’t come with a door. Even if it did you can’t put it on until you have the FLANGE. Still looking ... show more

Got it all put in and turned on and it had a bad leak and flooded the floor. Took it all back out done a pressure test and found out it was leaking at the heating element. Removed the element and there was no gasket around it. Poor quality in my opinion. Not happy at all. Gonna have to get some kind of gasket ti fix it. ... show more

Installation went mostly smoothly, but new gas line was 'fun' lining up. The T for me is behind drawers, but that is just my setup. My only concern was it is pictured with a door, all the pictures show a door, the box shows a door. There is no door included. Would be helpful to have a note. I ordered one as soon as I could, but it will arrive a couple hours after I have to leave on Tuesday. ... show more
