Works good, survived an ember fire.
Style: SL-18184
Economical ash vacuum. I have been pleased with mine. I bought two, one for my indoor pellet stove and one for the garage pellet stove. These do fairly well in getting pellets, ash, clinkers, and other fireplace debris vacuumed up. I was in a hurry and “accidentally” sucked up a bunch of embers trying to clean my fireplace and caught the filter guard and filter on fire. the fire was contained inside the vacuum and there was no open flames. I went back to Amazon and bought a new filter and filter guard for less than 30 dollars and the vacuum was back to work in a couple of days. Hose has a good length 6-8 foot , cord is 6’ long and I’ve found that is more than plenty for me. Has a fairly strong suction and can clean out a fireplace quickly. It is loud.

After a year hose broke still a good vacuum
Style: SL-18184
Had my Stanley ash vacuum for almost a year at the time of this review. I like it and it makes cleaning our wood burning stove much easier. Only complaint that I have is that the hose broke at the connection to the can. Thankfully duct tape works effectively still. Will update review if any issues arise. Also, when I bought mine back in Jan 2024 I bought it for around 50$s

Oh my goodness!
Style: SL-18184
I've had a pellet stove for years. It has always been a messy hassle to clean it. I used a brush and small shovel and tossed the ash into the outside trashcan. It was a dusty chore that I put off as long as possible. I splurged and got this and oh my, it is so much easier to keep the stove clean! This doesn't provide strong suction; just enough to get all of the ash. I was worried that it would spew the fine ash everywhere but it didn't. My dogs are afraid of my normal vacuum but they didn't budge from their comfy bed when I used this, which was a surprise because it does make a high-pitched sound that I found unpleasant but it didn't bother them. The cord could be bit longer but this does what I want it to do.

For pellet stoves ONLY
Style: SL-18184
This will only work w pellet stoves. Do NOT buy for a wood fireplace or stove! Charred wood pieces get stuck in the hose and then you spend way too much time trying to clear the passage.

Great ash vacuum
Style: SL-18184
I am thoroughly impressed with the Stanley Ash Vacuum! It’s incredibly lightweight and easy to use, making the task of cleaning up ash a breeze. The compact size is a huge bonus—not only does it fit neatly into small storage spaces, but it’s also easy to carry around without any hassle. The vacuum performs exceptionally well and has plenty of power to handle ash from my fireplace and grill. Cleaning and maintaining it is simple, which is a big plus for me. If you’re looking for an efficient and user-friendly ash vacuum that doesn’t take up much room, the Stanley Ash Vacuum is an excellent choice! Highly recommend it.

Not a very strong suction - does ok with ash, nothing else!
Style: SL-18184
Not much sucking power. For the suction very noisy. Seems to hold an ok amount of ash but don't try to vacuum up anything heavier, just doesn't pick it up. The metal extension on the hose falls off easily (like in the back of the stove!). I needed something to clean hot and semi-hot ash so I guess this is the best alternative but not near as much quality as I expected from Stanley!
