Bought a fairly expensive $800 aluminum fire table only to find it came with a rather chintzy painted steel fire bowl. After 3yrs (with being covered when not in use), the bowl disintegrated. Instead of trying to patch the holes and failure points, opted for this PERFECT solution to my problem. Literally dropped in and away I go. The original metal cover no longer fits flush (not a big deal) and I cover with a vinyl waterproof cover. This fire bowl replacement is the all in one solution that seems bomb proof. ... show more

I like the pan feature to hold the coil up over the pit and allow more air to circulate underneath. The instructions could be a bit more clear - each step better illustrated and explained for those installing a unit for the 1st time. We could not locate a battery in the packaging and didn't recall seeing "battery not included" luckily we had an AAA on hand. The instructions mentioned making sure battery was in place inside the igniter. Others reviewers mentioned the ignitor not working - missing battery is easily overlooked. ... show more
