The media could not be loaded. The black color really camouflages well underneath the lava rock in my gas log set. The hose appears to be good quality, with proper bending, and I had no whistling sounds after installation. The package came with extra gas fittings, including yellow gas line tape. As a consumer, you should measure exact needs for spacing when applying to any gas appliances. My only recommendation would be to have small one page install manual. Believe it, these hoses don't whistle like conventional hoses. I needed 2 lengths for my fire pit project, but I miscalculated one stretch and had to use two to make one long stretch. So I own a 12', a 18" and 24" hoses. Well worth it not to hear the whistle or deal with the restricted lead to the burner. I just needed a 3/8" x 3/8" coupling to connect the two together. The media could not be loaded. This is a great little hose. I have a 34" fireplace with a 28" insert. Its great that its black as the silver or yellow ones stick out like a sore thumb. Comes with multiple fittings so its almost gauranteed to have to one you need. It even came ith a right angle 3/8"s fitting. Doesnt whistle or howl like another I had. Provides plent of flow. Replaced the furnace in our camper with the exact same model as before but for whatever reason the manufacturer of the furnace decided to move the gas fitting by 6 inches. This was exactly what I was hoping it would be and allowed for me to connect the two fittings without having to have the gas line moved. Great product. ... show more

The other flex gas line was driving me nuts! I could turn on the 4th or 5th burner on my 40” Lion grill without it singing like a bird. I called called my contractor who installed my bbq island to see if he awakened it wrong but it wasn’t. Then I contacted Lion directly & they sent me link to this item.
