Used this fan and a triangle sunshade at a family reunion. The fan was delivered quickly and easily assembled. My only difficulty was getting the lower L-shaped bolt tight enough to hold the fan straight and secure from wobbling. It is easy to hook up to the water hose. You need to place the fan some distance from people or their glasses will get sprayed with water. LOL ... show more

The fan arrived quickly and was easy to set up. It did put out way too much mist so we ordered smaller misting nozzles and now it works great. The very first time we used the plastic regulator to turn on the water to the fan it broke. I contacted Supentown and they were very quick to respond and sent us out a replacement which we received quickly. We did go ahead and get a brass regulator to use on the fan since it will be turned on and off quite a lot - it works fine. We use this misting fan on our patio at our vacation beach house and it helps keep the mosquitoes away as well as help with the heat!!!! ... show more

    • Works like a charm!
Fan is very easy to assemble and motor housing is very sturdy and seems well made. The fan is quiet when compared to other outdoor fans I've had, and easily pushes air across our 500 sq. ft. patio. Misting function works well, maybe too well. On high, if you're sitting 10 feet away and mist is at full capacity you're going to get plenty wet. Hey, I live in Dallas, TX and in the middle of the summer if you're on my patio you're either wet from the pool or dripping with sweat...so this works with both. Only small con is misters seem to not work as well with reduced water pressure, but will look for some options. ... show more

    • Water Pressure Issue
Maybe should have taken other reviews regarding the amount of water being sprayed more seriously. You cannot control the amount (volume) of water being sprayed and we've had to carefully locate the fan to avoid having it spray directly into the area where we sit to avoid completely soaking us and our furniture. HOWEVER, this isn't the bigger issue. The second time we used the fan (after changing locations and adjusting the spray direction, fan speed, etc. to address the above issue), about 30 minutes into use the internal water line let loose at one of the junctions and water sprayed out of the from the bottom like an open water hose. Adjusting the shut-off may reduce water VOLUME, but it does not reduce water PRESSURE. Nowhere in the instructions is water pressure mentioned, other then requiring a MINIMUM water pressure of about 43 PSI. Nothing about maximum pressure, which we suspect was the cause of the fitting blowing apart. We have ordered an inline water pressure regulator rated at 40 PSI which we hope will make the misting function more reliable, but who knows? Will report after it arrives and we try it out. Can't believe they don't just provide a regulator with the fan since they aren't all that expensive. FOLLOW-UP: Received and installed the water pressure regulator purchased through Amazon (Hourleey Brass RV Water Pressure Regulator). The fan now seems to operate as it should, providing a cooling mist instead of a soaking drizzle. Reducing the pressure down to 40-50 PSI did the trick. Still need to see if the fittings will hold up with the reduced pressure. The manufacturer should include a regulator with the fan. SECOND FOLLOW-UP: Fittings have held up fine with the reduced pressure. You may find the water volume reduced too much with the fixed pressure regulator mentioned above. You may want to consider one of the many adjustable regulators available on Amazon so you can adjust to the size of the area you want to mist. ... show more
