  • Easiest EV Upgrade
Size: 26' NEMA10-30 24A J1772 Handle
Charger and cable - works like a charm. Installation was simple - hardest part is making sure I had the correct plug selected. Second hardest part is making sure my EV was set up correctly. Easiest of all was hanging a box on the wall and plugging it in. Great value. No adjustment necessary.

  • After 7 months
Size: 26' NEMA10-30 24A J1772 Handle
So far so good. I've had no issues with this charger. I'm having to run a high voltage extension cord from my dryer to my garage and this is attached at the end. I have a 2024 VW id.4. I plug it in at night, and I'm good to go by morning. Takes about 8 hours to go from near zero to 80%.

  • Charges my 2021 Hyundai Ioniq EV at 4.7 kWh.
Prior to purchasing Splitvolt to charge my 2021 Hyundai Ioniq EV I was getting a whopping 1.3 kWh or 4 miles per hour on the charger that came with the Hyundai. Now using the Nema outlet on my dryer, I'm getting level 2 charging at close to 5 kWh or 23 miles per hour. I purchased the longer cable (26 ' ) as well because I did not have an outlet in my garage so the charger just reaches my J1772 port on my car when I fish the cable through my basement door from my dryer. The cable is heavy duty and received no charging faults when I plugged it in. The J1772 plastic connector on the Splitvolt cable seems decently built and secures firmly to the latch on EV port on my car. Overall, 3 hours and 50 minutes to get to 80% from 20% on my car at level 2 with the Splitvolt. So far, I like the level 2 ability and really didn't have space in my electrical panel to add a 32 Amp fuse to use a app-based level 2 charging system like Charge Point. So the Splitvolt fits my needs until I can upgrade my panel which I plan on doing in the future when I get an EV with larger range. Hopefully, the Splitvolt lasts and the J1772 plug on the cable stays in shape from repeated charging. So nice to add some juice at home and not sit at public chargers. I will update if things change down the road. ... show more

  • Failed after four and a half months
Charger completely died after approximately 4.5 months of use with a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. No error messages or flashing lights, it just acts as if it was not connected to power. Splitvolt was unhelpful and had to contact Amazon for a resolution. Additionally, while trying to find the serial number on this charger I also discovered that it has no safety (ETL or UL) certification. Ultimately replaced this with a J1772 Tesla wall connector (configured to 24A maximum output during setup), which was significantly more expensive but the build quality difference is like night and day, and the Tesla charger has a UL certification. ... show more

  • So far so good!
I've had this charger for a month now and there are no issues as of yet. I have a 2025 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in hybrid so the battery is not as big as the battery of a EV only car. The included 110v charger that came with my car takes 12 hours to fully charge the traction battery. This charger takes 3.5 hours to fully charge. My home is equipped with a NEMA 10-30 so its a 30 amp circuit. This charger is rated at 24 amps (which is the ideal rating you want for a 30 amp circuit - 80% of circuit). I will update if I run into issues. ... show more

  • Works great as a 24A for NEMA10-30 Splitters
I have a dryer in the garage with NEMA10-30 which requires a 24A limited charger. Works as intended with Nissan Ariya and Hyundai Kona EV. Indoor charging only and so far no issues (~2mo). Will update review if any issues arise.

  • Died 1 month after warranty expired!
This charger worked great until today. Plugged it in and the charger just keeps clicking and the car says unable to charge. Drove to the Library to try their charge and it began charging fine. Came back home and plugged this one back in with the same result, clicking in the charger and unable to charge message. And of course the warranty ran out last month so I an SOL. I am not happy paying $300+ for a charger that barely lasted a year. I just ordered an adapter for the original charger so I can plug it into our 3-prong outlet. I won't be ordering another Splitvolt charger that's for sure. ... show more
