However, when I received this product, I noticed that the quality of fabric is very nice and the frames are very strong. It definitely deserves what I paid for. I like that it is very convenient to open and close the umbrella with its crank handle and also easy to tile it the desired position when needed. During a minor wind event, the metal shaft broke in half. The umbrella canopy held up with only a minor tear. I love the color and the three tiers. They need to make a stronger shaft to withstand wind as well as the canopy.

Bought two of these umbrellas for a cottage on the beach, lots of wind. The umbrellas have held up nicely, so far. We have only used them one weekend but the winds were pretty stong and they stayed put. In the past we have left umbrellas up on the deck and gone down to the beach and come home to the umbrellas in the sand dune. I did notice if we didn't open them as taught as they could be and left a little slack they really didn't budge in the wind. I am planning on buying another one for home. ... show more

My orange umbrella came bundled in a thick paper box. It was literally a snap to put together—the top easily snap-locks into the bottom half of the pole with a metal pushbutton. I haven't had an occasion to try the tilt yet. The umbrella seems to be a good weight—heavy enough to feel substantial, but not so heavy as to make it hard to lift up with one hand so it clears the top of my patio while we are having bbq outside. It's just the right size when open to shade my patio table. That is a great and high-quality patio umbrella. So easy to install. Particularly this color is truly lovely under the daylight.
