Our deck stairs to the front door also lead near the primary bedroom’s slider. We installed this to establish privacy between the front door and the bedroom on the deck. It works perfectly for the purpose. Install only took three minutes and can be done by one person. While I may have liked a slightly taller unit, this one is exactly as-described and the height is very good. It’s tall enough for privacy without blocking out more views than needed. Retraction and extension are very smooth. I don’t expect this to last forever, as it feels moderately durable…it gets full marks on this because I really have not had any issue. For the price, this is much better than expected. Our dachshund can walk right under this barrier because the fabric has some stretch/extension available. For us, this is value added but for others this could be less than dog-secure.

So far it’s good, has a sag at the top could be the product or the installation but based on other photos people have it seems like the product because it’s definitely pulled tight. I could only get it to tighten up when I dropped off 3 feet, I currently have it fully extended to 9.5 feet. It does the job, time will tell how long it will last. The privacy far outweighs the sagging so I’ll take it.

I needed privacy on my deck. When I would sit outside I’d be looking my neighbors’ in the faces and they don’t keep their property nice so there’s that. This is a perfect solution. I installed it in about 20 minutes onto the deck rails and into the deck floor with decking screws. It is sturdy. It’s plenty tall enough. And I haven’t taken it in when it rains and it stays dry. It’s also sturdy in the fall wind. I highly recommend this solution, and it doesn’t need to install in your siding.

Installed this on my deck. I’m on a corner lot and I felt like I had no privacy from constant walking passers by. Put this up and the deck feel so much cozier and u don’t feel obligated to smile and wave every couple minutes. Been installed for about a month and the quality is great. Only issue was I put in an extra L bracket so it didn’t pull in.
