We are a software engineering company . We don't do anything on this device except write code. We purchased this mini-pc to give one of our employees more options for the kind of monitor they use. We have been using (4) DELL AIO PC's for over 5 years, all without issue. We tried BEELINK first with very poor results, system was unstable,fan rattled constantly and was unable to successfully talk to Silicon Graphics USB converter chips. Returned to Amazon. Thank you Amazon. The GMKtec has been flawless, stable, quiet, cool (thermal) and capable of any USB task we need performed. The GMKtec runs 16 hours a day, 7 days a week tied to a DELL 27" monitor. We also added a 1TB high-endurance m.2 SSD... GMKtec is excellent in every way. UPDATE: After 5 email they refuse to even respond about replacing the primary fan that died.     • Crashes Running Newer Games Even With Increased 16G VRAM and Added 64G RAM - Waste of time

Chokes on newer games though it supposedly has more than enough power, well within games specs, I allocated 16G to VRAM and added 64G RAM - Running in performance power setting.

Haven't seen boot times this slow since the days of 2ghz chips and mechanical drives and I'm being generous. Ask it to do multiple things and it lags. Can't even keep up with my typing. Played an old dx9 game on it and it managed to play smoothly. Going to install my nvme game drive and see how it handles my games. My old AMD ryzen 7 2700x booted faster. Browsing Facebook, using messenger and checking your email should be fine. After further use i haven't seen the "working" icon so much since the glory days of the AMD Duron 600Mhz on mechanical drives. Infact i might give the edge to the Duron. The BIOS does not support a mouse within it. Fortunately I'm an old school nerd and know how to get around a bios using the keys. I don't know if it's because of the external drives or not but Windows Explorer crashes. I don't think they pay much attention to the reviews or they would have reached out to me. ... show more

COULD NOT ACTIVATE WINDOWS 11 PRO. Error message is vague, only that I needed to pay another $200 for a working windows activation. Also was sent a previously shipped item... probably returned for this reason but the seller hoped I would ignore the activation issue.

Take a look at the plug. It won't plug into anything I currently have. Off to Home Depot to see what I can do.Maybe I live a sheltered life as I haven't seen one of these before. If I get it running I'll update this review, otherwise it goes back to Amazon. Update 1/1/2025 ..I began to worry about what other things might be tied to China, etc. if the plug was wrong. I could have gotten a Chinese to USA converter, but it was too much of a risk for me. Reluctantly returned it. ... show more

    • Terrible experience….
First unit was never delivered by Amazon and it was returned to shipper. Second one came in with loud fan. Not sure if it was as designed or defective but it was just too loud and very annoying; so I returned that too. I then got a warning email from Amazon that I had too many returns not in original condition….needless to say first one was never delivered and second one sounded like a drone was flying around my son’s room.     • Work for more than 10 seconds out of the box. Could not get past first question on PC setup.

The media could not be loaded. Would not stay on for more than a few seconds (after taking it out of box) on for it too shut off. WORSE --- only option is to get refund AFTER it is received in returns. No other options. After first attempt of PC setup on initial try, PC, if it would respond to power button push, would only spin for a second before shutting off.
