It's nice and grippy, comfortable and actually looks nice if you wind it correctly. I also like the fact that it doesn't leave any residue in case I decide to remove it or have to rewrap it one day. I used this to wrap a 18mm handle on some sporting equipment. It adheres to aluminum well enough and bonds to itself like magic. its a solid silicone grip now. Really great stuff.

I removed a sticky nasty rubber grip from and old copper hammer with a fiberglass handle. I have had this thing for 25+ years, but hated grabbing it, every time I covered the old rubber grip with some other wrap, it would attack the wrap and make a worse mess over time. I thought about dipping the grip. But did some research instead. This led me to try this silicone wrap tape, and It works nicely. I got this grip wrap to replace the grip on my pull-up bar. Once I got enough to cover the bar it cost more than the bar itself. Grip to the hands was good but it still slipped on the bar under load (deadhangs). Would probably need some sort of adhesive underneath to prevent that. I ended up removing it. I have a very old sucker spear that I keep outside to protect our dogs from coyotes. The wood pole is a bit rough from years of weather. I could’ve sanded and polyurethaned it but instead tried this silicone wrapping tape. Not only is the tape option faster and easier, it provides a much better grip. Very easy to use.
