Description

With a standard data transfer rate that's 2x faster than the 3.0 version, the XS70 PCIe Gen 4x4 with 3D NAND flash memory and NVMe 1.4 support is exactly what serious gamers need to crush the competition. Mind-blowing continuous read and write speeds up to 7,300MB/s and 6,800MB/s, respectively, enable the XS70 to push the limits of what an SSD can do so you can break new records. Inspired by the gills of a shark, the XS70's unique heatsink design with carefully angled slits enables it to breathe during even the most intense gaming sessions. Heat easily ventilates out through the heatsink's gill-like slits to prevent overheating and maintain superior performance. The XS70 is not only as fierce as a shark on a performance level, but it can breathe like one too for longer and more stable gameplay! In order to game to the extreme, the XS70 supports RAID technology and LDPC coding to maintain system stability and data integrity to deliver maximum and reliable performance. It also supports DRAM Cache Buffer for improved sequential read/write and random read/write performance. The XS70 is available in massive storage capacity options up to 4TB. With an M.2 2280 (80mm) form factor, the XS70's compact size allows for easy installation, while also saving space for other components. Coupled with its unparalleled performance and massive storage capacity options, it makes for an easy upgrade that's ready to handle the most heated matches against your opponents.

  • Fantastic for PS5 Owners
Capacity: 4TB
Okay, if anyone is wondering if this brand is legit? Rest assured they are. They offer all sorts of storage solutions at a very affordable price tag. I've been using Silicon Power MicroSD cards for years, ever since I got my first 128GB card from them over 10 years ago. I have since given that card to my best friend for his Nintendo Switch and it still runs amazing. So yes, I can attest to the quality of Silicon Power products. When I saw they were making NVMe drives? I had to pull the trigger, considering this is a 4TB model that I bought and usually those cost over 300 bucks to get even without a proper hest sink installed, so you're getting a good deal with this one. Set up was easy once I opened the bottom of my PS5, however, good luck trying to get the screw and lifter that came with to come loose. It ain't happening and trust me, I tried everything. I ended up getting an alternative screw and the compatible washers, said screw will be M3-0.50 x 10 which you can find at most hardware stores. Anyway, once I got it all set up, the drive tested itself and got a 5GB/second speed. Very impressive. It formatted as quick as Sonic the Hedgehog runs and I was off to the races. I immediately transferred all my PS5 installs to the drive and found out I had over 2.5TB worth of installs. Took a few hours to transfer but once I did? That's when the real test began. I have been using this pretty much as a daily driver since then and performance wise? This thing is slick. I have not noticed any additional lag when compared to the PS5's internal storage at all and along with that? Load times are just as fast as well. Overall, I'm pleased as punch with this product. I have a good feeling I'm going to be using this for a long time coming and if their MicroSD cards are anything to go on? I have nothing to worry about when it comes to this NVMe drive's durability and performance. ... show more

  • Worked Great for PS5
Capacity: 2TB
Worked great for Ps5, it meets all the specs for Sony’s strict grading and is recognized seamlessly by the Ps5, with its fast speeds and boot times, I assume it would also work great for any pc, great value for what you pay and the cheapest option I could find to meet the PS5 requirements.

  • Good SSD for PS5!
Capacity: 2TB
I got this on the cheap in order to expand my PS5’s internal storage, and it works like a charm. It’s an easy installation, and the games boot up as quickly as the PS5’s internal storage. No complaints here!

  • Best PCIe Gen4 Affordable Drive - With a DRAM Cache (Non HMB)
Capacity: 4TB
Pros: - Affordable - Available in flavors up to 8Tb - MBTF: 1600K Hours - TBW: (1Tb: 700TBW, 2Tb: 1400TBW, 4Tb: 3000TBW, 8Tb: Unknown - Likely 6000TBW) - Up to 7300Mb/s Sequential Reads and 6800Mb/s Sequential Writes - Backwards Compatibility with older systems - 5 Year Warranty ensures you are never down a drive for too long - Amazing Price/GB - Great Performance rivaling the best drives on the market while retaining longer sequential reads/writes - Aesthetics are a plus with an attractive heatsink design - Removing the heatsink and putting the drive under a sustained load does not cause thermal throttling - Sequential Writes do not cause huge dips in performance when the DRAM Cache runs out. - TLC NAND Cons: - In testing the heatsink is more about flair, rather than assisting in heat dissipation - Unlikely to fit in most laptops with an M.2 SSD Slot due to the large heatsink - Sub-Par 4K Reads Synopsis: - Buy if looking for a fast PCIe Gen4 drive and not willing to pay top dollar for Samsung, etc and looking for a drive with DRAM. ... show more

  • Great price for a 2TB NVME SSD for my PS5
Capacity: 2TB
Finding myself frustrated at the lack of native storage space for PS5 specific games for the same console, I looked into getting an NVME SSD for the available expansion slot. Unlike the ridiculously expensive to expand XBOX X (which I also own), PS5 storage prices are really good right now as there’s a glut of NVME on the market. Was able to get this 2TB NVME SSD for $140 or so, and prices have dropped even further in just a few weeks! This is my first Playstation, which means I don’t already have a PS4 with many of the games that also run on the PS5 - so every time there’s a Sony Playstation store deal on an older AAA title that I haven’t played before, I get it (like $10 for both of the Middle Earth games, and $10 for the 3 x Batman titles together). While these games have since been moved to my new USB 3.0 storage drive (as they’re PS4 games and can be launched from USB 3.0 drives), I was still running out of space on the built-in console storage with some of the PS5 specific titles I bought on sale. Now is definitely a good time to buy! Be sure to look up the minimum specs for PS5 NVME expansion - IIRC it needs to be PCI 4.0 and meet minimum read/write speeds, which this unit did. It was easy to install (figuring out how to remove the PS5 case plastic for the first time was the hardest step and that was not hard either!) and only took maybe 10 minutes including powering the system off, unplugging everything, installing the NVME, and then reconnecting things (like my external USB 3.0 drive for PS4 game content). If I had waited a couple more weeks the 4TB NVME drive would have been $320 or so, and I might have gotten that instead (was $400 at the time I bought my 2TB NVME), but happy with 2TB. While this is not a PS5 vs XBOX X review, right now based on the cost of internal storage expansion (needed to launch current gen games on either console), and the lack of any sort of good exclusives on XBOX, and that PS5 also has a very good PS VR2 headset (Resident Evil: The Village with the headset is AMAZING!) if I were looking to buy only one console right now, it would be a PS5. ... show more
