Cord length: It had the longest cord, but still not long enough for what I need so I have to use an etension cord. I do like it. I have a huge shop vac that is inconvenient to lug around so I use this one for small jobs that are far away. I bought it to suck the water out of the airconditioner drain per my a/c tech. It is the perfect size for that. The nozzle fits correctly around the pipe.

I ordered this to help control a large buildup of dust caused by recent construction in my neighborhood. I literally had dust and dirt hanging from my ceiling, walls, and the worst was on top of my cabinets. This little guy sucked all of that up with no problem. I plan to use it for weekly, and or Daily dusting if needed. I know what you're thinking will this thing clean up big messes. My answer right now is I don't know. I've been a mechanic for 46 years, so I know what I need for large and small clean ups. For the large I have Dewalts Largest corded Vacuum and it is a beast " Love It". But let's talk about this little handheld. Can it clean up construction messes? Yes easily. Just go to U-Yube and watch the video of it. This thing is a little work Horse if it's used to do what it was designed to do. I just wish "Shop Vacc" would tell you where to get replacement dust bags when needed.

It works, it is lightweight, but it really doesn't function like a "shop vac" because the intake hose is half the size of a full sized shop vac. It just won't suck anything with any size to it like a regular one would. Had I known that, I would have opted for a larger model.

Update: I decided to remove 2 more stars and say how much I dislike using this vac. I had 2 little jobs and both of them were tedious. I put the vac the bed to reach the blades of a ceiling fan. Too short. I had to use both hands to control the vac, which meant I didn't have a hand to keep the fan blades from moving. Then I tried to get the dust off a pair of boots. As I was using one hand to steady the boot, and the other hand to control the vac hose, of course the little unit flips over on it's back, and turns off because the designers put the switch at the very top, guaranteeing that it will turn off. I'll be looking to replace this useless thing soon. It's not worth keeping around. ------- After using this little vac about 5 months, in a variety of situations, I can safely say I wouldn't buy this again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It does work, and the suction isn't terrible, but nothing about it is enjoyable. First of all, it's too light. If you don't hold the main unit by the handle, it will want to tip right over and turn off because of the position of the rocker switch on the top. I don't like having to always use both hands to use it. Next, the hose is too short and not flexible enough. This is a big part of the reason it tips over. If you're not hanging onto the handle, and you try vacuuming things off the floor, the unit won't just slide along with you. The hose tugs on the vac, and its tendency is to flip right onto its back and turn off. Super annoying. I had an old Sharp vacuum that I used for 30 years until I couldn't find bags for it. It was similar in size, but solid, powerful, portable, and convenient to use. If I had known I would dislike this unit so much, I would have kept the old one and found a way to have custom bags made. Another thing I don't like about this little Shop Vac is how the hose doesn't clip to the unit. It's just a friction fit, and it's directional. You have to make sure the exhaust end of the hose is pointed down when it is inserted, or the debris won't fall down into the bag. It will clog. This little vac is better than nothing if you need to clean up after small projects, but it's not fun to use. A Dustbuster is more convenient for tiny jobs, and the stability of a larger shop vacuum is better for anything larger. I thought I would like it, but I don't.
