This little gem takes all the guess work out of sharpening your lawn mower blade, I have two sets of blades for my mower and always have a set to use when the one gets dull, it only took me about 5 minutes to sharpen two blades, with a file it would take a lot longer plus your arm has to rest, glad I bought this tool and you will too!

This is more of a blade polisher rather than sharpener. I'm not sure how long it is supposed to take for this tool to sharpen a dull blade because I spent 1 full charge (15 min) on mine and it wasn't even close to being sharp. I finally resorted to using the grinder and had it sharp in about 20 seconds! I got this thinking it would be a handy fool proof method to keep my blades sharp - lol!! If your blade is already sharp and you just want to steel finish the edge, this is the tool for you!

Worked well. Once I got the hang of it, things went well. Unfortunately I discovered my blade was beyond fixing because of where I hit rocks. I bought a new blade and look forward to the ease of maintaining it. I have the confidence now to sharpen myself.

I would say this is a pretty good idea but as far as reliability, I would say pretty good also but the stones just don’t last long enough. This is after just sharpening one blade and is not even really sharp yet and went through one full charge just on one end of the blade, not both sides very disappointed, maybe electrical would be the way to go and to stock up on some sharpening stones or go with titanium stones not quite sure if it’s worth it but sharpens it a lot better than I was doing with a file. I’ll give it that and less time-consuming but pre-prepare yourself for recharging these batteries and give you a whole day to get a set of three of them done because on my zero turn lawnmower there are three blades. I think I’ll just pay the guy at the shop to sharpen my blaze while I’m in town.

This is the tool I've been waiting for to keep my lawn mower blades and gardening tools sharp! Setup is easy - inserting a grinding stone and charging - and the guide is preset to the correct angle and takes guesswork and mistakes out of the equation. Once I had it charged I immediately took it to the garage and put a nice edge on my mower blades - with the blades off. Since then, I've used it with the blades still on the mower instead of hassling with ratchets and such. Literally, in 2 minutes I'm done and the edges are cleaned. Note this will NOT undo chinks and dings caused by sticks, rocks, etc. It's for basic sharpening maintenance. For the average homeowner, don't bother with flap-wheel grinders. This will keep your blades sharp, which leads to cleaner cuts and healthier lawns!
