  • Wow, wow, wow. And wow! This vacuum cleaner does not suck at all.
Color: Ice Blue
OK, this vacuum vastly exceeded expectations. My wife despises vacuuming, but has started vacuuming again because of this unit's ease and convenience. I was very skeptical, but it is a serious contender against full-size vacuums, and the convenience justifies the high cost compared to other options. Shark has another winner! We have a Shark Navigator and several stick vacs that I absolutely love. I had low expectations for this vacuum cleaner as our primary carpet cleaner because of its size. I typically prefer a Navigator or a Hoover Pet vacuum to really get a lot of dirt and dog hair out of our carpet. This little thing is amazing! It did just as good a job on our carpet as the Shark Navigator and the Old Hoover Pet Vac did. I can't believe it actually has that much suction and cleaning power, considering its weight and that it is cordless. I love the New Bristles that are self-cleaning, as I am tired of cleaning hair out of our old vacuums. The vacuum is well-balanced and easy to maneuver, with a decent lighting system. I haven't needed to use the bending elbow, but it would be convenient for some use cases. The self-cleaning stand is what my wife bought and replaced our primary vacuum. It sits quietly in a corner, is fully charged when you want to use it, and empties the container when you put it back on the stand. When emptying the container, it goes through three cycles, and they are all pretty loud. It spooked our dogs the first couple of times, but now they're used to it. We should be able to get 4 to 6 vacuums in before needing to dump the base station. The unit is light and well-balanced enough that you can use it to vacuum upholstery, spider webs, and curtains with ease. I was expecting it to be much heavier and harder to use than our corded Shark stick vac, which has excellent suction. I didn't need to get it, as this unit was a little heavier but just as easy to use. It carries a premium price tag, but it's an excellent value for what it provides. You are getting a seriously powerful vacuum that will handle most jobs, work on carpets and bare floors without needing adjustments, and offer convenient power and cleaning functions. The LED display is very easy to read and offers clear modes depending on how you plan to use it. My wife keeps it on auto all the time, and it seems to be adjusting perfectly when she switches between hardwood floors, area rugs, and carpet. ... show more

  • Feature-rich, affordable, and multi-cat approved (my back loves it too!) Feature-rich, affordable, and multi-cat approved (my back loves it too!)
Color: Frosted Sage (Furfins Tool)
As a multi-cat owner, my life is a never-ending battle against cat hair, tracked litter, and dander. I have a mix of hardwood floors, laminate, and various rugs, and finding one vacuum that can handle all three without constant attachment changes has me excited! It’s super lightweight, versatile and easy to maneuver. And I absolutely LOVE the flexible stick design! It bends to get right under the bed and couch without making me get down on my knees or hunch over awkwardly, and my old lady hips and back approve! Plus, the headlights change color (blue on hard floors, white on carpets) to perfectly illuminate dust, debris, and those hidden "cat presents" waiting to be cleaned. The power detect feature performance is legit. It instantly senses floor transitions. When I move from my laminate kitchen to a thick living room rug, you can hear the motor kick into a higher gear. Because it's so lightweight, it truly shines on hardwood and laminate, but it still does a good job pulling embedded cat hair and debris out of carpets. And thanks to the suction design that picks up on both forward and reverse strokes, it grabs kitty litter and kibble on the first pass instead of plowing it across the hard floors. Plus, with three long hair cats plus my long hair, fur and hair usually destroy vacuum brush rolls. The anti-hair wrap design on this is great so far. I haven’t had to pull out scissors once to cut tangled hair off the roller. I wasn’t sure if I really needed the auto-empty base, but I do have to admit I enjoy not having to empty a tiny dustbin after a cleaning session and breathing in all that dust. Now, I just dock it, it empties itself into the sealed base, and I don't have to think about it for weeks. Battery life has been solid so far and I have cleaned my whole house on a single charge. While the auto-empty docking station has a slightly larger footprint than a simple wall mount, it takes up way less space than a traditional upright and ensures the vacuum is always charged and ready to go. This is a highly capable cordless vacuum option that offers premium, automated features at a more approachable price point than its luxury competitors. If you have multiple pets, save your sanity and get this! ... show more

The product arrived when promised but it was obviously an open box item which was not stated in the description! The manufacturer packaging was all cut opened and placed inside an Amazon box which was way oversized. I paid full price for a product that had obviously been returned by someone else. • Auto-emptying is the star of the show
Color: Frosted Sage (Furfins Tool)
While I don’t think this is a bad vacuum, I think that at its retail price there are more performant options. First up, the good. It’s extremely easy to put together. No tools, no screws, and about 3 minutes of minimal effort. Unless you have severe mobility or dexterity issues, you should have no problems assembling the charging and auto emptying base. The base station is well designed, and holds all the tools easily - much cleaner than the Dyson wall mounts. The auto emptying means that you don’t have to manually empty the vacuum any more. Though this has never been a task that bothers me, it is cool to have a vacuum that is fully empty and ready to go every time I go to use it. The power head works well on both carpets and hard floors, and the angled hose that lets it drop under couches is a legitimately fantastic idea, much easier than my fixed Dyson where I have to take a knee. The tools are well designed too, I like that I can use the upholstery tool on my couch and in my car with no damage to either surface. The motorized head is a bit finicky, mine seems to occasionally bind, but the more I run the vacuum the less it happens. The design makes good suction on either surface, and the LED helps illuminate dust and debris. It’s quiet, my wife works nights and she can’t hear this in use during the day, which is great. However, this is not the most powerful vacuum in its price class. You pay a lot for the auto emptying base station. Furthermore, the dust bin on board is quite small. This is probably better suited for a 1-2 bed apartment than a multi-story home. At the time of writing (May 2026) the MSRP is $519.99. For this pricing tier, it is competing with vacuums that may not offer a self emptying base station, but do offer better cleaning performance or larger bins. If the auto emptying means the world to you, I can attest that this does work well, but I’d rather see a normal charging stand with enhanced vacuum performance. ... show more

  • Self emptying is so much better than expected and a huge time saver. Vacuums well too!
Color: Frosted Sage (Furfins Tool)
So I was a little hesitant to try a Shark brand vacuum because I have loved my Motorhead so much that I have replaced the battery three times (which requires a screwdriver and patience). The empty feature seemed kind of gimmicky but I thought I would give it a try because I saw that The Wirecutter now owned by the new york times recommends this for a cordless vacuum that has the self emptying feature and said it performs almost as well as their current dyson recommendation. Well I'm amazed and pleased. Not having to empty the bin seems like such a small thing but this is awesome. Just sit it on the stand and it takes care of charging and emptying. The bin on the stand is the size of a small regular vacuum so doesn't need to be emptied as often and is easy when you do need to empty it. With my Dyson Motorhead you have to disconnect the stick and motorhead and then empty into the trash which is just another step. This is kind of awesome just to set it on and let it empty itself into the large bin. Not sure how I will know when the large bin is full so I kind of wish that bin was transparent but I will update my review if it becomes a problem. The performance is pretty good. It's hard to judge because it is significantly quieter or at least the frequency is not as jarring as my Motorhead which is a v6 I think (so they have come a long way I'm sure). When I first vacuumed though I got a lot of fine dust and wwhat not from the carpet so it seems to be doing the job. The floor detect is kind of amazing too. It switches effortlessly between carpet and hard floor surfaces (including my flat weave rugs and plush carpet). The battery life is really good too and the battery is replacable just like a powertool so in theory you could have two. I'm hoping they are easy to find replacements for when it finally starts to go but so far so good. I'm not a fan of the locking head. I don't see the point. So far it just requires that I hold it to release it when I want to vacuum. I would also like an upholstery attachment with a motor brush like I have for my motorhead included. It will also take some time to get used to the power button as opposed to the trigger. I find I go to set it down and forget to turn it off but that's just me learning I think. Great value for the money for a much easier to use in everyday situations and quicker because of that one step of emptying the bin after every use. ... show more

  • Excellent Performance with Many Useful Features Excellent Performance with Many Useful Features
Color: Frosted Sage (Furfins Tool)
I have a budget stick vacuum that costs about a quarter the price of the Shark and considering everything that the Shark offers it's easily worth the extra cost. The Shark is a solid, substantial stick vacuum, with multiple features and adds an auto-empty/charge device. Performance is great; the Shark has a powerful suction and picks up debris with one pass. I confirmed the 7-lbs weight with my Shark. It's about 2.2-lbs heavier than my budget stick vacuum. If you're used to a lighter stick vacuum, you'll feel the extra weight, but after using it for a while the extra weight isn't noticeable. For what this does, I’d consider 7-lbs to be lightweight. The noise level is fairly quiet. I measured the Shark at 79 dB in Detect mode and 84 dB in Boost mode; my old stick vacuum measures at 79 dB. The Shark has too many features to mention here, but there's two features that I really liked... 1) The handle has a hinge to fold the vacuum in half (see my photo). You can't put the vacuum on the charger folded, but it does make a very convenient way to store the vacuum off the charger. And 2) when on a hard floor the vacuum headlight will change from white to blue (see my photo). The blue light does a great job illuminating debris on the floor. The only thing to note that might be a downside is the auto-empty/charge part being big and having a large footprint, plus it needs to be plugged in to an outlet. This may make it difficult to find a place to put it. What I'm doing is keeping the auto-empty/charge part in my garage plugged in to a nearby outlet, and the vacuum stored (folded!) in a hall closet. I'll just use the auto-empty/charge part when I start running out of charge and need to re-charge and empty the vacuum’s dustbin. That way, I have my Shark conveniently located in the house and the auto-empty/charger part is out of eyesight in the garage. The quality and workmanship are excellent; this is a well-made product and should last a long time. I really like my "Shark PowerDetect Speed Plus Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Auto-Empty" and it has my strong recommendation. ... show more
