This is my third Shark vacuum and there is a reason I keep buying them! They just work, period. My daughter is moving into her own apartment for the first time and wanted the same Shark we already had. It doesn't seem to still be available so I let her take it with her and got a new one for myself. I do also own a lift away but find it a little too heavy to carry around. The super long hose on this item achieves the same thing and is way easier to use. Assembly was very easy and no tools were needed. All of the components just click into place and probably took two minutes to assemble. I have learned over time that the two included attachments are the only ones I really use and both can be stored right onboard the vacuum. I love that both the foam and felt filters can be rinsed in water and do not need to be repurchased. That being said, I usually buy another set anyway so that I can rinse one set and still be able to use the vacuum while they completely dry out. As for the performance, it works really well. The ability to easily adjust the level of suction right from the handle means that I can go from a throw rug, to an area rug, to a wood floor quickly and easily. The swivel operates flawlessly and makes maneuvering a breeze. And the extension of the hose is great. To reach the ceiling, I don't have to do any heavy lifting or stretching. The dust bin is quite large and is also easy to release and empty. This particular item might not have a tons of bells and whistles, but it just works. For 95% of my tasks, it's all I need. And it is a great value! Every single one of my Shark vacuums are still working great, and I'm sure this item is no exception. For the price, it has everything I need and really exceeded my expectations once I used it. I don't see any reason to spend three or fours times the cost of this item on any other vacuum, when this item does the job. Highly recommended! ... show more

I’ve now had this vacuum for a year, it is so well worth the money. I switched from my Dyson to this shark model. It’s easy to use, it’s easy to clean. The suction is the best I’ve ever seen in a vaccum. It’s lightweight. Lots of length to use attachments. The scent boosters work great. I can see where if I had dogs this would be great for the smell. The scent boosters also have levels you can set . I have cats and it collects the hair like no other vacuum. For noise level, I don’t think it’s loud. The quality of this baby is made built to last! I will never buy anything other vacuum. My only con is I wish I did this so much sooner! ... show more

I just purchased this vacuum and am really impressed with it after the first use. It was really easy to put together. The instructions included are detailed with pictures. It’s easy to transition to handheld. There’s no extra hose you have to lug around or store. It’s lightweight so moving it up and down my three-story townhouse is easy. It’s also very maneuverable getting around furniture and other items. The suction on this vacuum is amazing. It pulled out so much dirt from my rugs that I had no idea my old vacuum missed. I have a German Shepherd and two long haired cats who all shed a lot. My old vacuum could never get all the fur. I also haven’t had an issue with hair/fur getting stuck in the brushes. This thing pulls up everything. I’m just amazed at how much it picks up. Another feature I love is you can adjust the suction. I have different length rugs and I can lower the suction on the longer length rugs so the vacuum will actually move. There’s also a separate carpet and floor setting. Overall I’m really happy with my purchase so far. I will be able to keep my floors much cleaner. As you can see from the picture this was from an area rug. I don’t normally do reviews but I struggled reading other reviews for hundreds of vacuums and decided to try this one. After using this vacuum for a little, I can honestly say it’s one of the better ones I’ve owned. The suction power is strong enough to pick up pet hair and cat litter easily, which was one of my biggest concerns since I have multiple animals. It doesn’t just push debris around — it actually grabs everything in one or two passes. I only have hardwood floors in my home, so I can’t comment on long-term carpet performance, but on hard surfaces it works extremely well and leaves floors looking noticeably cleaner. A few things I like: • Strong suction without feeling overly heavy • Handles pet hair really well • Picks up small debris like litter without scattering it • Easy to maneuver Overall, it’s been reliable and does exactly what I needed it to do. I just got this vacuum today but I did test it out. My tiny dog destroyed my last vacuum which I loved with his continuous attacks so this is a replacement. If you are someone who has a dog that likes to nip at your vacuum I think this design will work well. My last vacuum had a hose that ran along the bottom so every time the pup would nip at it the hose was under stress from the yanking motion and eventually it just broke. This vacuum has a hose that attaches at the back which is awesome. I also like that the front is a bit larger so he can't grab ahold and yank but that might not be the case if you have a larger dog. It is a nice simple straightforward design, has excellent suction and is surprisingly quiet. I find the cord length to be acceptable but I don't have large spaces in my home.
